->"Whoa. Big man can move!"
--> -- Finn from WesternAnimation/JackieChanAdventures, commenting on Tohru's superfast movement after gaining the Rabbit Talisman

An obese character who turns out to be the FragileSpeedster. Differs from LightningBruiser because the character is flabby rather than brutish, and need not be powerful.

Compare Acrofatic. For the opposite of this, see GlacierWaif.

----
!!Examples:

!!!Anime & Manga
* Udono Jousuke from Basilisk. Despite his size, he's capable of easily avoiding attacks from Rousai and Akeginu, two of Iga's strongest fighters.
* Omaeda from Bleach is revealed to be this.

!!!Comic Books
* Bouncing Boy from the Legion Of Super-Heroes straddles both this and Acrofatic when handled properly; two hundred plus pounds slamming around the room like a consciously-directed superball or falling on you from a dozen yards up sure sounds like it could be quite dangerous.
** Similarly, the B-Grade villain Pinball from Marvel's (original) SquadronSupreme universe was a stout guy in an inflatable green jumper. His "power" was the ability to inflate his suit, giving himself a ball-like shape, and bounce into the heroes.
* One of the future speedsters seen the Flash storyline Chain Lightning is exactly like this, being a HeavyWorlder; Impulse is taken aback by his size (probably because Bart himself is quite small, even for a speedster).
-->Bart: But why are we leaning...(sees Thondor off to the side, who has apparently fallen into a pile of debris and cannot move)...oh.
-->Thondor: Don't stare at me! Don't stare at me!
-->Bart: Sorry. You're hard to miss. You're a Flash? You're huge!
-->Thondor: You should see my sister. You wanna help me up, bigfoot?
-->(later)
-->Bart: For a runner, Thondor Allen, you're awfully...well...big.
-->Thondor: I'm not "big". I'm "horizontally challenged", thank you.
* The DP7 character Jeff Walters (Blur) was this when he first got his superspeed, but due to the effects of being constantly in motion his excess weight came off quickly, to the point where he pretty much has to eat constantly or else he'll die.

!!!Film
* Speed from SkyHigh.
* Fat Albert in the FatAlbertMovie.

!!!Literature
* Burke from AndrewVachss books arguably fits this better than LightningBruiser. While he is big, fast, slippery and can take a pounding, we are reminded multiple times across various entries in his series that he does not have the power for a knockout punch.

!!!Tabletop Games
* The first edition of Golden Age Champions had Veltro, an Italian speedster who required large amounts of food to fuel his powers. Unfortunately, the food-to-energy conversion percentage wasn't 100%, and over time fatty deposits added up...
* Moe-Mentum from the MutantsAndMasterminds 1E source book, Escape from Alcatraz, gained his super-speed from magic where he wished for a) super-speed, b) the ability to drink as much as he wanted to, and c) the ability to always have beer onhand. The combination of copious amounts of beer and his powers not drawing on actual food energy makes him a very portly speedster.

!!!Video Games
* Pluto from ResidentEvil: Dead Aim. Bulbous, but sprinted like a cheetah on coke.
* The Insane Cancers from SilentHill3 would trick players into believing they're rather slow - they even get up from serious injuries quite fast and attack.
* In the SSX series, there's Luther, a FatBastard of over 280 pounds and a juggernaut in the snowboarding world. Being a LightningBruiser in a more general sense (being tackled by him has been compared to being hit with a wrecking ball), he's also an expert in races. Nobody can beat a fat guy in a downhill race.
* Doctor Eggman from SonicTheHedgehog is a rotund mad scientist who mainly fights from the cockpit of a HumongousMecha, but if forced out of it, he's fast enough on his feet to keep pace with Sonic when fleeing to safety.
* Fatman from MetalGearSolid2. His body fat and enormous full-body armor is actually quite inconvenient, so he uses roller blades to give him extra mobility in battle.
* Bulky-looking Scolipede, the largest Bug-type Pokemon, sports an amazing speed stat, but won't be taking many neutral hits without assistance.
** Purugly, a heavy, fat, ugly cat has the same speed as Scolipede.
* Many of the bosses in the DeadRising series. Chef Antoine can sprint something fierce for a fat old guy. Perhaps most notable is Randy the pervert, who moves faster than the guy on ROLLERSKATES. He loses his breath quickly and needs to rest though.
* Those fat guys in NoMoreHeroes2DesperateStruggle kinda lumber around, but when Travis turns into a feral tiger they sure can move their asses.
* The Behemoth, as it appears in ShinMegamiTensei DevilSurvivor, is depicted as a giant green hippo, yet has the ability "Devil Speed", which allows the character to move 7 spaces, opposing the usual 4 or 3 per turn.
* Gragas from LeagueOfLegends fits under this. He's so fat that he's literally round, but his Body Slam attack lets him move around with an amazing degree of mobility. Somehow he can even body slam through a wall.
* LightningLegendDaigoNoDaibouken has Mokomoko, a giant furball rabbit-like creature, who can run at blazing speeds, and can pull off very fast combos.

!!!Real Life
* Fairly common in ProfessionalWrestling; even the fat guys are athletes, after all. Rosy, for example used to be something of a monster but RedemptionDemotion meant he wasn't much harder to beat up than the Hurricane...if the opponents could keep up with the fat man.
* Another interesting real life example, Warren Sapp. He's somewhere in the area of 300 hundred pounds, but when he was on Dancing with the Stars, and had to perform the jive (the dance that requires the fastest footwork) he blew the judges away by how well he was able to keep up.

Hippos are not fragile in any sense of the word. Miltank and Salamence are not fragile and niether is Samoa Joe.

* Miltank in Pokemon are pudgy (actual) cows, yet their base speed is 100 - higher than a number of Legendary Pokémon, including two of the Legendary Birds, as well as Ho-Oh, Suicune, the legendary titans, the legendary dragons of Sinnoh (all of which should logically be capable of outspeeding you by bypassing the laws of physics), the legendary dragons of Unova (two of which have turbines on their rumps), and Genesect -- when the average for fully evolved Pokémon is 80. It even outspeeds Arcanine, who, while not technically legendary, is "renowned for its speed".
** Salamence is a chunky dragon that can somehow fly. It too has base 100 Speed. Hydreigon, a large dragon with three heads, has 98 base speed, outspeeding all of the above list of legendaries Miltank can outspeed (except Genosect).
** Terrakion is a fat Rock/Fighting Pokémon that looks like an ox (it's more likely muscle, though it certainly looks enough like blubber), yet it's Speed ties the leaner brothers of its legendary quartet, outspeeding all of the Pokémon listed before this example.
** Outspeeding ALL of the above is the rather bulky-looking Scolipede, a 8-foot long centipede, holder of the title of largest Bug-type, and sporting 112 base speed. Perhaps all those legs manage to help it move fast.

The announcers will never miss an opportunity to point out that such guys are quite fast for their size. * Hippos, the third heaviest animals in the world. They look stout and pudgy but piss one off (which doesn't take much) and they can easily outrun a human.
