* ''Series/{{Crusade}}'': One episode featured a very strange variant, where an alien government, which had picked up radio transmissions from 1960s - era Earth, decided to fake a conspiracy that humans were visiting their planet and manipulating their government, in order to distract the public from blaming their own leaders, who were actually behind their problems. Part of their disinformation campaign involved faking sightings of humans in NASA - style spacesuits, rockets and blimps, and even creating patterns in crop fields in the form of Earth symbols like the American flag.

* Crop circles are usually made by farmers or others out to prank people. They take a board with a string, and stand on the board, moving it by the string, so that it flattens the cornstalks without breaking them. Or something like that. Note that crop circles' frequency of appearance closely follows the change in value of the crops. They have also caused several major law suits when the circle creator was not the farmer-these things frequently destroy tens of thousands of dollars worth of crops per glyph.
