Due to the perception that AllMenArePerverts and that AManIsAlwaysEager, the coach is [[AlwaysMale usually male]]. A female coach who behaves like this is more likely to veer into DoubleStandardRapeFemaleOnFemale (unless she falls at the PsychoLesbian end of LesbianJock) or DoubleStandardRapeFemaleOnMale (unless she's an AbhorrentAdmirer in the case that NoGuyWantsAnAmazon--and even ''that'' is more likely to be played for laughs than if the genders were flipped). Related to TeacherStudentRomance, SadistTeacher, and EvilTeacher. See DrillSergeantNasty for another stereotypical portrayal of coaches (even though it originated with drill sergeants).
