* Played straight in ''Merlin''. Every single beautiful woman is evil, period. Only Gwen, who is more pretty than beautiful is allowed to be good, and she'll eventually cheat on Arthur anyway. Any other beautiful female is evil, period. Well, I guess there's Morgana. Oh wait......

*** This version of Gwen may not cheat on Arthur; the creators have said that they plan to play out the Arthur/Gwen/Lancelot LoveTriangle ''before'' the OfficialCouple get married, which means no cheating will ever occur.

* There is a rant somewhere on DeviantArt about how, while Disney is finally branching out and making [[ThePrincessAndTheFrog a black leading lady]], it doesn't make up for the fact that she's still a ''pretty'' black leading lady. This piece eventually goes on to say that the studio owes it to their audience to make a fat princess, an ugly princess, a bald princess, a burn victim princess...

* Princess Laideronette (whose name is literally the French word for "ugly" rendered into a feminine name- one of the translations into English renamed her Hidessa) from the 18th-century fairy tale novella "[[http://www.surlalunefairytales.com/authors/aulnoy/1892/greenserpent.html The Green Serpent]]" is, in spite of having a good figure and lovely hair according to the original illustrations (they only show her from the back), so badly disfigured from birth by a curse flung at her by a fairy who was scorned by Laidronette's parents that she is kept locked away from the world and forced to wear a veil. When she wants to attend a ball in honor of her vain, beautiful, shallow sister Bellotte (who escaped the curse), the only concession her parents make is allowing her a peep-hole to watch the ball so she doesn't frighten the guests. The story is unclear if she ever becomes beautiful, but her virtue is rewarded by marriage to a handsome prince and becoming queen in her own right rather than just a consort, while Bellotte is left with nothing.
** The linked version makes it quite clear that she is cured of her ugliness.

Removed textbook Justifying Edit.

** Morgana..(edited for being inaccurate). She just got tired supporting Knight Templar Uther, and for a very good reason...(removed for being wrong)... even though she's technically on the different side than Merlin and Arthur at the moment. (edit: Even though there is justification for this transformation Morgana is definitely evil. She was quite willing to mentally torture the king and destroy the whole kingdom, innocent lives included to advance her cause. She was dissappointed when Merlin, a guy who's saved her butt and confided in her and she in him plenty of times, escaped a nasty death in the forest. She was pleased with the news that he was going to be hanged though he was exonerated later of course. Also see the freezing cold glances she gives when uther isn't looking.)

** While the Van Tussels remain just as horrible in the second ''Hairspray'' movie, the other attractive cast members are shown to warm up to Tracy. The Negro Day girls who are thin and attractive are nice from the start.

** It was implied in the extra material that there was an entire group of people who were literally addicted to plastic surgery. Original art for these people showed that they weren't attractive by any means.

** In fact, a good many of those villains are only evil because they're jealous that the protagonists are more beautiful than they are.
