It follows the story of Adelina Amouteru, a survivor of the blood fever. The blood fever is fatal to adults and leaves the survivors with markings.These survivors are called malfettos. Enzo Valenciano is a member of the
Dagger Society seeks her out and saves her from execution after she murders her father while trying to escape him. He was a cruel and abusive father who wished to exploit her gifts if she had any. The Dagger Society is a group Society. This secret sect of Young Elites that seek out other Young Elites and teaches them to control and use their gifts.

these three will collide in unexpected ways, as each fights a very different and personal battle. But of one thing they are all certain: Adelina has abilities that shouldn’t belong in this world. A vengeful blackness in her heart. And a desire to destroy all who dare to cross her.
