* SinisterNudity: In the later chapters, Mr Hickey is found dancing naked in the Arctic wasteland. At first, this scene is played for dark laughs, as Lt Irving believes that he's [[NakedNutter succumbed]] to PolarMadness. However, it's soon revealed that [[spoiler: Hickey is naked because he wants to murder Irving without getting blood on his clothes, and he's dancing so he can keep warm until Irving gets close enough for the killing blow.]] Once this becomes clear, naked Hickey is described in almost inhuman terms, being more like a malevolent goblin than a human.
