->'' A road trip eight centuries in the making.''

''[[ The Late Crusader]]'' is a web serial novel by Thuktun Flishithy, author of ''Literature/JunctionPoint''. It is a road trip comedy about a knight hitching a ride to the Holy Land... eight hundred years late.

The story follows the highway adventure of João, a modern day Portuguese teen from Coimbra, and his unwanted passenger- a man who claims to be an English knight from the 12th century named Sir Geoffrey of Kinwood, whom João unwilling picked up while driving through Southern France for unknown reasons. Between the threat of the man's sword and the promise of payment via real gold coins, João has reluctantly agreed to take 'Sir Geoffrey' to Jerusalem, so the knight can fight in the Third Crusade.
