* LetXBeTheUnknown: A "mysterious guest commentator" makes a cameo in the Sonic Unleashed marathon. He is given the code name "X" by Medibot.

* DudeLooksLikeALady: medibot thinks that Specter Knight is female. pokecapn, since he hasn't played the game before while medibot has, assumes he must know what he's talking about and also refers to Specter Knight as if he were female.

pokecapn is a [[LetsPlay Let's Player]] from the SomethingAwful forums. His [=LPs=] usually contain guest commentary from his friends: LetsPlay/{{Medibot}}, LetsPlay/KungFuJesus, [=IlluminatusVespucci=], [=NoTimeForSocks=] AKA Condit, and [=MyNameIsKaz=]. pokecapn is most well known for his [[LetsPlay/SonicTheHedgehog2006 Let's Play of Sonic the Hedgehog 2006]]. Afterward, he and his friends pursued [[LetsPlay Let's Plays]] of other Sonic games, as well as a board from each MarioParty.

* ScheduleSlip: The last let's play the posse made together was the ''Four Swords Adventure'' LP in summer 2012 (August if you count KFJ's LP of ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXIII2'' on his channel), with the only videos posted on the Pokecapn youtube channel being a single video of ''VideoGame/HearthstoneHeroesOfWarcraft''. A project was teased for July 2013, but nothing came of it.
** Subverted out of nowhere in May 2015, when KFJ suddenly uploaded over half a day's worth of streams and videos from the group making a marathon of ''Asura's Wrath''.

* ButtMonkey: The group has trouble figuring out how to defeat the Time Eater in ''Generations'' when, halfway through their second attempt, Vector suggests that they head for its core. This revelation is enough for them to figure out how to win on their third attempt. The next time Vector has a line, they mock the idea that he's helping and reference the computer room line from ''ShadowTheHedgehog''.

* ManOfAThousandVoices: [=MyNameIsKaz=] tends to throw out voices a lot. He dubs for Professor Pickle in ''Sonic Unleashed'', and recurring examples from ''Mario Party'' include normal and "master of devils" Daisy and an eerily accurate Yoshi, sometimes [[SesameStreet mixed with Elmo]].

* DudeLooksLikeALady: medibot thinks that Specter Knight is female.

* {{Baka}}: Said several times by LetsPlay/KungFuJesus to the game.

* TheReveal: Kung-Fu Jesus' real name, [[spoiler: Kurt]], is casually dropped by medibot during an episode of the ''Sonic Unleashed'' LP. It's [[LampshadeHanging lampshaded]] shortly afterwards by KFJ himself, noting that it's probably the first time his name has been said on camera.

* {{Angrish}}: Although not the the same extent as in ''LetsPlay/Sonic2006'', pokecapn is still aggravated enough by some of the levels in ''Sonic Unleashed'' to temporarily lose his grip on the English language.

* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: medibot, in ''Mario Party 5''. After spending more than a fifth of the game completely ''mute,'' the first thing he says makes it perfectly clear that he is '''''fuming.''''' Which, in turn, leads to another OCC moment where pokecapn puts the entire LP on hold and sincerely asks medibot to speak up and see if he's alright. Despite medibot's answer, [[spoiler:("I don't want to be here.")]], the LP resumes as normal.

* NotTheFallThatKillsYou: After falling and dying in the clock tower in the first nighttime Rooftop Run, [=IlluminatusVespucci=] comments that Sonic probably wouldn't die if he didn't scream on the way down.

* {{Portmanteau}}: The word "chufty" (a combination of "chubby", "buff", and "hefty" - but actually a diminutive of "chuffleguff", coined by [[CloudCuckoolander medibot]]) is used to describe large enemies frequently in ''Sonic Unleashed''.
