** Gangrel, the king of Plegia and the main baddie of the first eleven chapters. When Emmeryn commits suicide to prevent Chrom from giving Gangrel the Shield of Seals for her safety, [[KickTheDog he laughs gleefully at that and at Chrom and Lissa's sadness at this event]] (which is rather in poor taste). He is in fact considered to be the biggest jerk in the game.

* ''VideoGame/FireEmblemFates''
** Garon, the Big Bad of Fire Emblem Fates, is not a nice guy. He even sends the Avatar on suicidal missions, hoping that they die, and even states that he'd kill his own blood children at one point. Pre-zombie or not, he the had distinction of being jerks, his zombified self is far more than hehad ever been prior to his death.

* ''VideoGame/FireEmblemThreeHouses''
** In the Azure Moon route, Dimitri is definitely this post-time skip, being an antisocial jerk who does not participate in training sessions and is unsupportable and spends most of his free time brooding and cares only about ripping Edelgard's (who was the Flame Emperor) head off. After Chapter 14 of that route, Dimitri orders Randolph to be captured, and subjugates Randolph through mental torture by pointing out that he is just as much of a blood-hungry beast as Dimitri is, and that he will personally execute his soldiers one by one so that he can see him break. After Byleth kills Randolph out of mercy, Dimitri threatens Byleth that he will continue to use them and their friends "until the flesh falls from [their] bones", and continues his Jerkass behavior until after Rodrigue dies in Chapter 17.
*** He's also this, albeit to a lesser degree, in the Crimson Flower route (the "Side With Edelgard" route), though only because he's defending Faerghus from Edelgard (mainly due to him wrongly assuming that she was behind the Tragedy of Duscar massacre) and her forces, and cooperating with a psychopathic Rhea, who has had several abuses of power exposed.

** Iago, Garon's EvilGenius, is a slimy and unpleasant man who goes out
of being jerks, his zombified self way to antagonize Corrin and their comrades and is far more than hehad ever been prior to his death.

a horrible sadist.

** In
''VideoGame/FireEmblemThreeHouses'': On the Azure Moon route, and Verdant Wind routes, Dimitri is definitely this post-time skip, being an antisocial jerk who does not participate in training sessions and is unsupportable and spends most of his free time brooding and cares only about ripping Edelgard's [[spoiler:Edelgard]]'s (who was the Flame Emperor) head off. After Chapter 14 of that route, Azure Moon, Dimitri orders Randolph to be captured, and subjugates Randolph through mental torture by pointing out that he is just as much of a blood-hungry beast as Dimitri is, and that he will personally execute his soldiers one by one so that he can see him break. After Byleth kills Randolph out of mercy, Dimitri threatens Byleth that he will continue to use them and their friends "until the flesh falls from [their] bones", bones". He has much less plot prominence on Verdant Wind, but on that route attacks Claude and continues his the Alliance for no readily apparent reason beyond being targets of opportunity. His Jerkass behavior until after Rodrigue dies ultimately concludes with either [[spoiler:Rodrigue's death]] in Chapter 17.

17 of Azure Moon or [[spoiler:his own death]] in the Crimson Flower route (the "Side With Edelgard" route), though only because he's defending Faerghus from Edelgard (mainly due to him wrongly assuming that she was behind the Tragedy Chapter 17 of Duscar massacre) and her forces, and cooperating with a psychopathic Rhea, who has had several abuses of power exposed.
Verdant Wind.

** While regular Veyle averts this and is [[NiceGuy quite the opposite]], when her Dark Veyle SplitPersonality is in control, she becomes an extremely sadistic and cruel girl who enjoys causing pain and misery onto others.

The ''Franchise/FireEmblem'' series, being a classic SwordsAndSorcery setting, also has quite a lot of mean characters.

* VideoGame/Fire Emblem: Awakening:

** Tharja, the Plegian Dark Mage who joins Chrom's army in Chapter 9, is rather rude and dismissive towards anyone who isn't the Avatar character. She also abuses her future daughter, Noire, by using her as an unwilling guinea pig for her hexes.

* ''VideoGame/FireEmblemEngage'' has several characters taking the cake.
** Sombron, the game's BigBad, has an extremely cruel personality and a callous disregard for all life but his own.
** Zephia, due largely to her twisted sense of love, fairness and pragmatism, is a very cruel woman. Her EstablishingCharacterMoment sees her - in a FauxAffablyEvil tone, no less - threatening to not only kill the castle inhabitants, but also Queen Éve's children if she doesn't tell her where Firene's Emblem is.
** While regular Veyle averts this and is [[NiceGuy quite the opposite]], when her Dark Veyle SplitPersonality is in control, she becomes an extremely sadistic and cruel girl who enjoys causing pain and misery onto others.
