Romantic Two Girl Friendship has been renamed to Pseudo Romantic Friendship. All misuse and ZC Es will be deleted and all other examples will be changed to the correct trope.

* Joining the fray after Episode 2 is now Kate, who gets shipped with Max due to [[spoiler:possibly stopping her from committing suicide. Added to that come the diary entries following immediately afterwards where Max comments how great it felt to walk arm in arm with Kate and the beautiful drawings of Kate with wings she has done, too]]. Even before that, Max went out of her way to describe Kate as pretty, sweet, and friendly, saying that she is more beautiful than Victoria and the other Vortex girls in one of the diary entries that take place before the game proper starts. In Episode 3 and 4, [[spoiler: if saved]], Kate and Max frequently text, and they have a very warm conversation in the hospital when Max visits her. * Speculation began rising about Brooke having a crush on Max. In Episode 4, if Max chose not to go with Warren to the drive-in, she will very, ''very'' frequently remind her that he's going with her, saying it in ambient out-loud dialogue and in all of her conversations, always in a very {{Tsundere}}-ish tone, as if trying to make her increasingly jealous (which Max can even respond to with jealousy). She still acts very friendly to Max, even asking her to go on a "Drone Date" with her sometime, and it is mentioned that Brooke called Max the "bravest person she ever met" if [[spoiler: she manages to save Kate.]]

* Victoria and Max have a few shippers as well, which isn't surprising considering how sincere they both seem if you choose to comfort her after the paint incident, especially with the [[{{Tsundere}} tsundere-ish]] text she sends later.

These are definitely intentional and thus are at least Homoerotic Subtext (though they are probably too overt for that too).

* Max and Chloe seem to have underlying tension between them that ''could'' go a little beyond friends. Chloe suggests that Max could have used her powers to flirt with her then undone it, and will half-jokingly suggest they elope if [[spoiler:Max tries to shoot Frank]].
** In Episode 2, Max is also quite jealous of Chloe and Rachel's relationship -- when she's exploring their favorite hangout spot, she wonders if she could have meant as much to Chloe if they'd stayed in touch, and when she finds "Chloe Was Here" and "Rachel Was Here" written on a wall, she quietly says "I don't want to intrude, but...I was here too," and considers writing as much (it's up to the player).
** In Episode 3, they engage in a ''lot'' more flirting, and Max even [[spoiler:has the chance to kiss Chloe, after Chloe dares her to. It's brief and Chloe's surprised (in a good way) if you go through with it, but they don't engage in anything further except more flirting about it later. Depending on the player's choices, Chloe may also replace her phone background -- a picture of herself and Rachel -- with a picture of Max. This delights Max quite a bit, and may have a greater effect on future episodes.]]
** In Episode 5, [[spoiler:it's all but confirmed that they do indeed love one another romantically. A whole section of Max's nightmare is devoted to Chloe trashtalking her and hooking up with other people. It's not a huge leap to assume this stems from sexual jealousy as well as general insecurity. And of course, in the Sacrifice Chloe ending, they can share a kiss before Max undoes all her changes. Also the Sacrifice Arcadia Bay ending is basically Max being so unwilling to lose Chloe that she would rather let her hometown be destroyed by the tornado just to ensure Chloe's safety]].
** WordOfGod also stated that while Max and Chloe don't actually kiss in the [[spoiler: Sacrifice Arcadia Bay ending, due to the huge amount of MoodWhiplash it would cause, the two eventually did kiss a few days later.]]
* Chloe in general seems {{Ambiguously Gay}} throughout Episode 2 and 3, between her frequent flirting with Max to her mentioning having had a crush on Rachel, though [[spoiler: due to the latter's relationship with Frank]], it may have been one-sided.
** [[spoiler: Mr.Jefferson]] also seems to think there was something going on between them, since he snarks that Chloe and Rachel must be [[spoiler:fucking together in heaven.]]
** Given the condoms you find in her wallet at one point, it seems more that she's AmbiguouslyBi.

Getting the kiss depends on certain factors. Otherwise they just hug.

* Max and Chloe seem to have underlying tension between them that ''could'' go a little beyond friends. Chloe suggests that Max could have used her powers to flirt with her then undone it, and will half-jokingly suggest they elope if [[spoiler:Max tries to shoot Frank]]. Max is also quite jealous of Chloe and Rachel's relationship -- when she's exploring their favorite hangout spot in Episode 2, she wonders if she could have meant as much to Chloe if they'd stayed in touch, and when she finds "Chloe Was Here" and "Rachel Was Here" written on a wall, she quietly says "I don't want to intrude, but...I was here too," and considers writing as much (it's up to the player). In Episode 3, they engage in a ''lot'' more flirting, and Max even [[spoiler:has the chance to kiss Chloe, after Chloe dares her to.

In Episode 3 and 4, if saved, Kate and Max frequently text, and they have a very warm conversation in the hospital when Max visits her. Kate telling Max that she "loves her" (in a friendly way) was a sign to many shippers as proof of their [[RomanticTwoGirlFriendship pairing.]]

** Victoria and Max have a few shippers as well, which isn't surprising considering how sincere they both seem if you choose to comfort her after the paint incident, especially with the [[{{Tsundere}} tsundere-ish]] text she sends later.

* Chloe in general seems {{Ambiguously Gay}} throughout Episode 2 and 3, between her frequent flirting with Max to her mentioning having had a crush on Rachel, though [[spoiler: due to the latter's relationship with Frank]], it may have been one-sided.

* Episode 3 adds Alyssa to the mix. If Max saves her from each potential danger Alyssa comes in contact with from Episode 1 to 3, Alyssa will thank Max and ask her to hang out sometime. [[spoiler:If Max saved Kate, she states she'd like to go see her with Max and their friends. If Kate died, she'll ask Max if she wants to have a wine date at some point.]]
* Pairing Victoria with Taylor is slowly gaining popularity due to their close and fairly private friendship and the fact that Victoria calls Taylor "Sweet T".
She still acts very friendly to Max, even asking her to go on a "Drone Date" with her sometime, and it is mentioned that Brooke called Max the "bravest person she ever met" if she manages to save Kate.
