* In the ''Anime/{{Pokemon}} Sun & Moon'' anime, there's Bewear. It looks and sounds cute...until it makes a sudden screech. When it's battling, it makes high-pitched screeches that even scare ''Ash'' out of his wits.
** Jessie's Mimikyu makes a terrifying screeching death-rattle noise. (Mimikyus in the games and Acerola's Mimikins make cute Pikachu-like noises.)
** Guzzlord's cry sounds like anguished VoiceOfTheLegion screaming.
** All the way back in the original series, we have Victreebel. Its dub cry was initially far deeper...but eventually reverted to the Japanese voice.

* ''Anime/PokemonOrigins,'' of all anime, has this in the form of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adFPJOLB-fc Charmander screaming in pain]] as it receives a Bite attack to its neck. * ''Manga/AxisPowersHetalia'': Whenever Russia is angry, he'll chant KOLKOLKOL in a decidedly creepy fashion.
* ''{{Manga/Berserk}}'': In the anime during the Eclipse the sound of Guts hacking at his arm to break free of a demons jaws with his broken sword.

* ''{{Anime/Monster}}'': Occurs at some point during each episode, especially whenever [[TheDreaded Johan Liebert]] makes an appearance.

* The 2014-15 adaptation of the ''Stardust Crusaders'' arc from ''Anime/JojosBizarreAdventure'' adds a distorted buzzing sound along with the sound of clocks stopping whenever DIO activates [[TimeStandsStill The World]].
** Killer Queen from the ''Diamond Is Unbreakable'' arc activates one of its bombs with an innocuous little '[[LandMineGoesClick click]]'. [[BodyHorror After seeing what the]] [[CruelAndUnusualDeath bombs do to people]], it becomes every bit as soul-cringing as the sound of The World stopping time.

** The moo-like bellow when [[spoiler:Unit01 goes berserk and eats an Angel]]. We hear it again in the background during Asuka's MindRape.
*** This gets even worse: that sound was created by [[spoiler:having the voice actress for Yui Ikari scream as heartwrenchingly as she could, and then slowing it down and altering it. The emotion they told her to put into the scream? Not fear, not rage, not pain. Misery.]]

** Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez beating the ever-loving hell out of Ichigo's face for something like 20 minutes total.

** Naruto's 4-tailed form (and 6-tailed) not only [[BodyHorror looks like a hell-beast]], but he emits a throaty growl ''exactly like the Kyuubi itself,'' and when you consider that he is human-sized in these forms, and that the lesser forms do not alter his voice...
** The '''''lovely''''' blood-curdling screams of the massacred Mist-nin during Obito's rampage as well as his primal screams, reminiscient of a screeching beast definitely counts.
