* A tradition of the Friday episode of the support show It Takes Two, is for the three guests to predict who will leave the show at the weekend, not normally taken too seriously but still showing a lack of confidence. When Dan Walker (a former contestant, who would laugh off having votes against him) appeared on the show in 2023, he flat out refused to vote as he knows how harsh it is to be told that they think you are not good enough and the contestants don't deserve it.

* Also in 2023, Layton Williams faced a lot of hate online during his time on the show, and even landed in the dance off in Week 10 after a weaker routine. When they got to the final, he and his pro partner Nikita both accepted that they were unlikely to win the show because of the lack of public support, so it was a surprise when they not only won the first night of the 2024 tour, but also won the whole tour overall with 19 shows. This included the very last show of the tour, and they decided to dedicate that win to everyone who was on tour with them.

* In the 2023 series, Nancy was paired with Les Dennis, who wasn't even lucky enough to become an EliminationHoudini and ended up the first to be voted out (and this was after Nancy had made it as far as the semi-final with her previous two partners). In the Christmas special, however, she was able to get a win with Jamie Borthwick.

** When Amy made her first (surprise) appearance in the third week the fellow professionals, celebrities and audience cheered so much at her surprise appearance that it was diffcult to hear what Amy was saying over the cheering and chanting of her name. She said the support she received from her fellow professionals gave her the confidence to not wear her wig (following shaving her hair due to her chemo treatment).

** A minor understated event, for the episode of Strictly that was the day after the 2023 UK Wear It Pink day for Brest Cancer Awareness, the costumes were pink wear they were able to do so for the occasion, with there noticeably being more pink on show then would be normal.

* Also in Series 19, whenever Rose Ayling-Ellis was announced to go through to the following week, she and her partner Giovanni would sign "Thank you!" three times. A few of the other couples also did this when announced to be safe, and the pros would continue this with their new partners in the following series.

* The cast of most series are usually very supportive of their fellow celebrity competitors with their shared experince of the show. When dances do not go as well as hoped, the cast are always supportive as was Bruce Forsyth during his tenure as host. During Series 18 and 19 when there was a reduced audience presence due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the cast were the majority of the audience and were cheering louder then ever for the competition.

* During Series 19, after they were eliminated professional dancer Amy Dowden and celebrity Tom Fletcher remained good freinds and continued to meet up as well as fellow celebrity Sara Davies who had also been eliminated. When Amy was ill due to Crohn's disease Tom Fletchers and his family looked after her until she was better.

* The finale of Series 16 in which Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton won, the first of the pro-dancers to reach Kevin to congratulate him was his ex-wife Karen Hauer, who happily squealed "You did it!!" and tightly hugged him. One of the sweetest displays of amicable exes ever.

* Series 8, week 8 (Blackpool week). James and Pamela's reaction to both being in Blackpool and getting two 10's. In context: James Jordan has been on the show for five years. Every year, he's had an above average celebrity, who, with a bit of luck, might have made it to the final (see: Gabby Logan, Cherie Lunghi, Zoe Lucker). Every year, they've been voted off by the public before the point where the judges start giving out tens (or the point where they would be going to Blackpool, in certain series' case). Except this one. It took him five years, but he got there in the end.
** Five years? It took Anton (with Emma Barton) all of 14 years and 17 series before he got his first 10 in Blackpool from Shirley. And then another immediately after from Bruno.

The winner was a retired British-Canadian medic who helped keep his unit alive, despite significant injury to himself, and works with disabled veterans like himself.

* Dani and Vincent getting into the final in the series 10 semi-final results; they were the last couple to be called safe. Vincent looks confused, realises they're going through, and puts his head in his hands and falls to the floor.
