* Yvette Monreal (Yolanda) and Meg [=DeLacy=] (Cindy) are best friends in RealLife. That's pretty sweet considering the negative relationship between their respective characters.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-qxRRYIBQs This featurette]], while full of funny moments by showing everyone's amusement at Creator/GeoffJohns PromotedFanboy status, also illustrates how much of a passion project this show is for the man.
* Just as a reminder, but as noted in the above video, the comic that the show is based on was inspired by his younger sister, Courtney Johns, who died in [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TWA_Flight_800 the TWA Flight 800 plane crash]]. This isn't just a tribute to Johns' favourite comic book team or his personal creation, but also to immortalise his younger sister.
* Brec Bassinger eventually posted the InUniverse picture of Courtney Johns and Courtney Whitmore on Instagram, and with it, she included this incredibly touching message.
-->'''Brec Bassinger:''' Last night Stargirl premiered. Some of you may have noticed this photo on Courtney’s bulletin board, but you may not have known the story behind it. This is Courtney Johns, the inspiration behind Stargirl. Seeing this photo on set everyday was a constant reminder of the real reason we were there. I am so proud and honored to be a part of this show. Geoff Johns you are a superhero to me. Thank you. To Courtney.

* Resolving a lingering plot detail, after the big battle is over Courtney finally tracks down the Gambler's daughter Rebecca and tells her that her father loved her and didn't want to abandon her. While the scene is short, Rebecca does show genuine, teary-eyed gratitude and gives Courtney a hug.
* There's also Cameron's return after having left town. While Courtney stands disconsolately outside the dark, empty Mahkent house, it suddenly starts to snow, confusing her...until she realizes the CallBack to when she helped him use his powers through ThePowerOfLove, described in episode 4 above. She turns around to see him watching her with the most yearning expression...and after confirming that she thinks she can help him, they share a long, tight embrace.

* Sylvester's grave shows the words, "Loving friend and brother." This is heartwarming as it is, but then you remember that the legend must've come from ''Pat,'' who also considered Sylvester his brother.
* In turn, when Sylvester is woken up, his last words are begging to know what happened to Pat.
* Pat reveals that he used a trick Sylvester taught him to escape the Ultra-Humanite. As Courtney points out, this means that he got to save Pat's life one more time.

* Mike finally gets to meet his mom, and spends time catching up with her.

** Cindy, Cameron, and Artemis are all members of the JSA, cementing the ISA legacies' journey on the path of heroism.
** Rick and Beth have become a couple and are engaged.
** If the above wasn't heartwarming enough for you, ''The Shade'' [[HeelFaceTurn now fights with the JSA]], and will be officiating Rick and Beth's wedding!
** The JSA eventually rescue Sylvester's missing brain and restore him.

* Larry and Paula, of all people, have a series of these throughout the episode:
** Both of them are seriously upset about the Mahkents' hurting the JSA, with Larry stating that "Barbara Whitmore and her family are our people."
** Paula saves Barb's life when Lily comes calling, and later teaches her to shoot a crossbow.
** We also see Paula baking a chocolate cake. This is heartwarming not only because it's a nice call-back to earlier in the season, but also because originally, it's doubtful that the Crocks would ''ever'' have eaten something as unhealthy as chocolate cake.
** Larry, of all people, has a heart-to-heart with Lily, and encourages her to move on from the past. Not to forget her son's death, but to learn from it, accept it, and keep going rather than getting involved in a blood feud.
*** Following this, Lily cries in her husband's arms as she comes to accept Jordan's death.
** Both Crocks are absolutely overjoyed at Artemis' getting onto the college football team.
** At the very end, Larry and Paula hold hands and exchange "I love you"s.
* Subtle, but Mike and Jakeem being present at the JSA's planning meeting really shows that they're not just junior hangers-on any more. They're part of the team.

* The Crocks in this episode have several wonderful moments. Crusher sits down with Pat to have a talk about the latter's ex-wife and shows genuine concern and caring about the situation with Mike. Meanwhile Paula wants to show Barb how to fight (or learn [[InsistentTerminology self-defense]]) solely because there's someone spying on everyone who's also a killer, and [[BecauseYouWereNiceToMe because Barb was kind to her]]. This leads Barb to thank her for the offer even though she can't bring herself to commit even that kind of violence and call her her friend; Paula becomes visibly emotional and says no one has ever called her their friend before. And of course, Artemis showing up at the Mahkent house not only helps save Beth, but the two of them make a pretty good team, leading to one moment when Artemis helps Beth up with a [[InsultOfEndearment friendly "Come on, nerd!"]]

* Bit of FridgeBrilliance here. While Pat sees his deepest fears in the Shadowlands, and is confronted by visions of Mike and his abusive father, none of the visions say anything about Barbara or Courtney. The fact that he doesn't have ''any'' insecurities related to them that the Shadowlands could dig out and torture him with is really very heartwarming. Particularly given how long it took Courtney to warm up to him back in Season One.

* When Courtney and Yolanda see each other again, they hug tightly and both apologize. Whether you ship them or consider them best friends, either way, it's wonderful to see the depth of their friendship.

* For some time it's been building how Sofus is the one among the EvilOldFolks pair who actually has standards, compassion, and leans more toward kindness when it comes to both the JSA and Cameron. Despite fighting Beth and Artemis, in the end it's his appeal to let of hate and revenge, to instead embrace love, that cuts through Lily's influence and prevents Cameron from applying what would likely have been a killing shot on Rick. And while it remains to be seen what the fallout will be, it's Beth then saving him from a heart attack afterward that has a chance to get through Lily and Cameron's rage and resentment.
