* A variation of this comes up in ''Franchise/AssassinsCreed'': since the player is actually just reliving the memories of the characters in the main setting of each game, they technically don't suffer from any injuries that the character doesn't receive as an example of GameplayAndStorySegregation, such as [[VideoGame/AssassinsCreedIII Connor]] being visibly affected by injuries received from a near miss by a cannonball in a cutscene which hinders his movement. In normal gameplay, however, injuries are never as staggering even though they ''can'' lead to death in-game. This Healing Factor is partly justified by the framing device of the game: health actually indicates how well-synchronized the player is to how the character behaved historically, with loss of all their health resulting in a game over via death because the character did not die at that point in their lives.

* In ''VideoGame/{{Monark}}, [[StarterVillain Kurama]]'s ability to control bodies extends to himself in the form of a healing factor. He attributes his quick recovery from a nasty stab wound to this.

* [[VideoGame/MortalKombatDeception Havik]] from ''Franchise/MortalKombat'' has a regenerating ability, which explains how most versions of him are able to fight with [[AbnormalLimbRotationRange his limbs and appendages bending and twisting in violent ways]] with him no worse for wear. His ''VideoGame/MortalKombat1'' incarnation [[BodyHorror exploits this to extreme and grotesque lengths]], with his design being much more hinged on [[CombatSadomasochist doing frightening things to his own body in order to inflict even worse things on his enemies]]. This includes things like [[DetachmentCombat ripping off his own arm to beat his enemy with it using his other arm]], creating explosive energy balls formed from his own gore, and pummeling his enemy so viciously that his forearms turn into bloody, bony stumps -- all of which he can afford to do as he regenerates mere seconds later.

* ''VideoGame/TwentyMinutesTillDawn'' and other survivor shooter games will have an extremely valuable talent you can earn thru leveling up which lets you regenerate damage. It's vital in this game genre as healing items are either nonexistent or very rare and your enemies come in [[ZergRush huge surrounding mobs]] and may fire off a BulletHell.
