I just read the last issue of Liefeld's run, where it's pretty strongly implied who Enigma actually is. Nevermind!

** Rumors persist that he is either Creator/GrantMorrison, who Moore seems to have some sort of personal dislike for, or is just a reference to British comic book writers in general, in which case Friday is a bit of self-depreciation in addition to a standard TakeThat.
* There's a character named Enigma in the original version. [[MeaningfulName He lives up to his name]] by being a complete mystery with no explanation to why he's so powerful or knows so much. This even gets [[LampshadeHanging Lampshaded]] in Blue Rose when he says he "feels like a story the universe didn't finish writing."

* Does anyone Know who Billy Friday is supposed to be in Moore's Supreme? It looks like he's supposed to be a deliberate reference to another British comic writer, but he doesn't exactly mirror anyone in particular.
