* Princess Peach once effortlessley yeeted Bowser out of her castle with her telekenisis, which is part of her "Wish Power", according to [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzFQZF6B9Y4 a video]]. Now, I don't know the full context behind how her powers work, but if this is canon, which it appears to be, THEN WHY THE HECK DOESN'T SHE USE IT ON BOWSER EVERY TIME HE KIDNAPS HER!?

The rabbits you chase for green starrs poof into nothing after they give away their green star, and the bad rabbits from Odyssey do the same after they've been defeated? Is it some sort of thing that only rabbits can do?

** Alternatively, it may simply be an issue of recognition. The only reason the paintbrush made him a threat in ''VideoGame/SuperMarioSunshine'' is that the Piantas... honestly, either [[FridgeBrilliance they're colourblind & have extremely poor vision]] or [[TooDumbToLive they're not that bright]]. If they had been able to recognise that the [[PaperThinDisguise weird, Mario-shaped technicolour paint monster]] was in fact ''not'' the guy that just arrived on the plane with a foreign dignitary and is noticeably ''not'' technicolour and ''not'' made of paint, then Mario would likely have had the full support of the Piantas in figuring out what was going, rather than being hindered by a KangarooCourt. Or at the very least, he would've been allowed to stay with Peach, significantly lessening the number of openings available for Bowser Jr. to kidnap her. ...Conversely, people almost everywhere else seem to be able to recognise Mario, and thus wouldn't be likely to leave Peach vulnerable and undefended by arresting him for something that they know he didn't do.

** They were most likely designed this way to show that they're the obvious EvilCounterparts to Mario and Luigi. Though elves aren't evil for the most part, they are definitely mischievous which perfectly describes the sneaky duo of Wario and Waluigi. Mario and Luigi are more "cartoonish" resembling stand-out cartoon heroes usually with bigger noses and brighter clothing. Wario and Waluigi being designed as Gonky elves makes sense.

*** Actually, a few games make passing mention of the Mario Bros. being from Brooklyn (documented on MarioWiki), and WordOfGod says that the Mario Bros. arcade game takes place in the New York sewer system. It can work with the timeline; maybe their parents moved out of the Mushroom Kingdom with them for safety reasons or something, and they rediscovered the kingdom later as adults while in the plumbing business?

** [[AWizardDidIt Boswer is a fairly powerful wizard.]] It's something people forget because it's rarely referenced but all the blocks in the games? Former citizens of the Mushroom Kingdom. The bosses of worlds 1 through 7 in the original game? Transformed mooks. Mario 3 he and his kids defeated seven magic wand wielding kings and turned them into Darwin's Grab Bag. Mario World, he sealed a fully grown dinosaur in an egg! It wouldn't surprise me at all to find out that Bowser (except in New Super Mario Bros for some reason) some kind of contingency spell that roughly reads "if the shit hits the fan put me in protective stasis until someone gets me!"

* So the opening current in Super Mario Advanced 2 (GBA port of SMW) established that the cape crater has the power to fly across the entire island. The map of the game shows that Chocolate Island (where the final main world in the game is located) is just a flight away from the first world. Why didn't Mario just fly across the gap and saved Peach in a much shorter time?

** In the original game, the non-portrait and Boo ghosts ceased spawning in the mansion once you captured Van Gore, so it’s probable that their existence is tied to his. As for the Boos, E. Gadd apparently just kept them contained until the third game, when Hellen Gravely lures him to her hotel in order to capture him and free the ghosts he’s been holding captive. And indeed, there are four Boos you have to capture in the Last Resort who are making reappearances from the first game.

* I've noticed that, in regards to Bowser having been used to be called King Koopa, everyone claims Nintendo of America didn't name him Bowser 'till a certain point in the 1990s that they can't seem to agree on. Now to clear this up, he's '''always''' had the name Bowser in America; his name was given as "Bowser, King of the Koopas" in the first SMB's instruction manual's enemy list, though the rest of the book just referred to him as "the [adjective] Koopa King". But some of the "fans" act like he didn't get the name Bowser 'till ''VideoGame/SuperMarioBros3'' (though that ''was'' where it became more common to call him that), ''VideoGame/SuperMarioWorld'', or (get this) ''VideoGame/SuperMario64'' (according to one commenter on Website/ThatGuyWithTheGlasses!). Have any of these people actually read the original game's instruction book?
