The people are not native to that planet, their species has attained warp drive (not everyone who gets into space is a rocket scientist, some are businessmen who hire rocket scientists to put them into space), and they were abducted from Earth.

Interfaith understanding and friendship is far more likely while still being properly optimistic for ''Franchise/StarTrek''.
