*** It does, but it's hard to imagine that many religions were so easily made into one (with very different beliefs in many cases) or that the believers in them would go along with this. SF Debris and others find it more probable that they would just interpret it according to their belief systems without creating a new religion. It's also a bit odd all those religions had a presence simultaneously, though not impossible.

* I am curious why Captain Pike decides the Prime Directive applies. The people are not native to that planet, their species has attained warp drive (not everyone who gets into space is a rocket scientist, some are businessmen who hire rocket scientists to put them into space), and they were abducted from Earth.

* As Website/SFDebris [[https://sfdebris.com/videos/startrek/c117.php points out]], the idea of the TransplantedHumans attributing their rescue to DivineIntervention and consequently making an InterfaithSmoothie out of a dozen mutually contradictory religions doesn't actually make a whole lot of sense on closer examination. Interfaith understanding and friendship is far more likely while still being properly optimistic for ''Franchise/StarTrek''.
-->'''Chuck:''' It seems that before they arrived, a bunch of people were hiding in this church, waiting for the nuke to hit, with nothing short of divine intervention saving them by transporting the church to this planet. Not knowing whose faith was responsible, they figured the only fair way to do this was to cram all the different faiths into one big one. Like say, if I were to donate a thousand dollars to the Red Cross, they would say it came from me, WebVideo/RedLetterMedia, Vince Lombardi, and the Fonz, since all they could make out was "from Wisconsin".
** So, does religious syncretism suddenly not exist?
