* This isn't so much of a specific MN9 question as it is a general gaming question, but it's related to this so here we go... exactly ''how'' is it possible for a game like this to have such notable lag issues on modern hardware? It's not exactly resource intensive. Is it a problem with the engine itself?

** Dr. White is young and ambitious. Too ambitious. He's too blinded by the potential of his work from its inherent dangers. Something that [[spoiler:his father, Dr. Blackwell,]] keeps telling him but still he refuses to listen to his warning. The events of this game is only the tip of the iceberg. Sooner or later (if a sequel to the story ever appears), if he continues to be this reckless, he'll inevitably unleash something that would devastate the world in an apocalyptic scale.

** It's made even worse when Guru Larry drudged this lie up on his Top Games That Bricked Consoles video.

** Also worth noting is that the game's poor reputation means there are likely people out there making false claims about lag and crashes, and unrelated, people running it on a poor performance PC. And then people will repeat these claims despite not experiencing them. So while it's certain that the game does cause lag on some systems, generally this isn't the game's fault, it's due to the system being in poor condition - or, in the case of the Wii U, as said above, because Unreal Engine really isn't supposed to run on it. It's just so widespread that the game lags because people are eager to repeat the stories of others, and even falsify their own, because they don't like the game. Hate to sound negative towards others, but frankly, that ''is'' happening.

* Dr. White explained that Trinity was designed with the sole purpose of growing and evolving. So he designed a powerful robot programmed to do nothing but take over other machines endlessly and without restriction and he gave her no real point or purpose for her actions aside from a vague notion of "evolving." And this supposed genius didn't realize the dangers of this design until after the fact?

** It's possibly an issue with the Unreal Engine, which at one point was thought to be impossible to run on the Wii U (hence why it suffers the worst). It's also possible that it could have something to do with [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memory_leak memory leaks]] as a result of poorly implemented [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garbage_collection_(computer_science) Garbage Collection]]. Basically, unused RAM isn't being freed up properly so it gets held in reserve despite being empty. Again, possibly as a result of the game engine which sometimes requires extra development on the developer's part to properly handle. Until we get word from Comcept or Inti Creates, though, it's hard to say.

He says "and I love it", not "on nine-eleven". This question is not a WMG since it has a clear answer.

* Did the Masterclass narrator say "you're jumping around like a friggin moon man on 9/11" or did he say something else?
