Chances are she doesn't really know how to repair her meat body without that usual risk of losing it that comes with going full Anodite.

****''That'' is what would be bestiality. Vulpimancers are sentient; Azmuth said he'd long been collecting the DNA of every ''sentient'' race in the galaxy (exact quote may be different.) Even if they're a bit too alien to look sentient to us at first glance. Also, it might have been a full Vulpimancer.

****The energy absorption thing seems more to explain Kevin's overnight change between the original and AF. In the original series, especially in Kevin 11 and Framed, he's not just ''bad,'' he's ''exceptionally'' murderous and goes out of his way to make sure innocents will die even when he doesn't need to get his stated goal and laughs about it. This being a kids' show, he's always stopped in time (onscreen, at least.) So Kevin suddenly being a JerkWithAHeartOfGold with totally different powers was a case of InNameOnly, comparable to the idea of the Joker - ''the Dark Knight version,'' not one of the kid-friendly harmless trickster incarnations - suddenly trading watching the world burn for helping old ladies cross the street but making the odd gruff comment about it. The explanation: his powers work ''both'' ways. Matter = good, energy = bad. It was slapped on to make the new Kevin ''make at least a bit of sense.'' And it was fairly well done... which makes it more annoying that all of two seconds after we learn this, Ben ''immediately'' writes Kevin off as irredeemable when he goes energy-nuts again, clearly not his fault, and he is ''talked out'' of doing the most evil thing he could've done at the time and what young Kevin would have gladly done. (We get a decent explanation for that too, by the way: he basically felt that 'the one to does what needs to be done' had to be him and was... pretty much trying too hard; it's not how he actually felt, and did work with the others when they had a plan for getting Kevin back to normal.) But, ''totally'' hearing whoever it was on the need to try maybe '''not having''' wildly inconsistent characterization and people doing things that make no more sense than this instead of simply explaining it away later.

\n***Thing is, we knew him for all of one minute before he became Ben 10. It was in class (couldn't have socialized there), then the thing with Cash and JT (who knew if he'd had people around him before he noticed), then Grandpa shows up - and for the rest of the original series, he's touring the countryside, far from anyone he might have known from school. You ''would'' think someone would have helped him down, but the fact that he wasn't with anyone for the exceptionally brief periods in which he saw him before the adventure began is hardly proof that he's never with anyone ''ever.'' And in the later series, yeah, he has to deal with hero stuff enough that he's mostly with the gang. Even ''then,'' we get things like Gwen's friend (in her first appearance) saying she'd had one date with Ben that ended with her webbed to something really, really high. This means Ben even has an offscreen ''dating life,'' though alien invasions aren't good for it.

*** Who's "they"? JT and Cash? The other students? The super villains? Everyone in the country? That's kinda the point I was getting at: Ben and company never once hid what they did or who they were, yet it isn't until some kid blogs about it on the internet that anyone anywhere goes "The same Ben Ten(nyson) that every one of us has seen shapeshift into aliens and beat the hell out of supervillains and monsters and aliens is ''actually'' Ben Ten, the shapeshifting alien superhero who beats the hell out of supervillains and monsters and aliens?! We'd better start worshipping/targetting him now that we've learned his awesome 'secret!'"

headscratchers is not to complaining

* Several people in several ways have complained now about the premise of this show, the whole 'make aliens stronger button'.. except what bugs ME is that it's ''barely been used''. He goes whole stretches of episodes without using it, and has already re-used some 'ultimates' without revealing more than a half dozen of them.
** Ben explicitly states he doesn't like going Ultimate, and it would get old if he used the same "make my alien more powerful" gimmick to win in every episode. Presumably the Ultimates are building up to something big and (hopefully) spectacular at the end of the series/season, but there's no real point to shoehorn them into every episode.
*** But Ultimate Big Chill appearing four times isn't getting old?
**** [[EpilepticTrees Necrofriggians have a shorter interval between reproductive cycles in their Ultimate forms. Ultimate Big Chill is influencing Ben to use]] [[PronounTrouble hir]] [[EpilepticTrees more often, leading up to a repeat of "Save The Last Dance" with Ultimate Necrofriggian babies.]]

* What really Bugs this troper is that Ben has turned into 37 different aliens (25 currently accessible) but he only uses like 5 of them. He has Fourarms but continues to use the "Fourarms ripoff" (and it's not for the ultimate form at times). It's no wonder Ben won't ever get the master control. Back in War of the worlds he had the chance to get his 19 original aliens back (only 3 made it) but what does he do? He continues from Jetray to Swampfire to Swampfire to Humongousaur.
* What's the point of adding the Ultimatrix into the story saying that it can evolve any alien form. We've only seen 6 out of 25. And about the ultimate forms, how are they supposed to be evolved by a million + years when they keep getting their @$$'s beat from enemies of today? The only alien with an excuse was when Humongousaur got beat by Kevin (he had Ult Humongousaur's power at the time). As of Now, only Ult Echo Echo seems to be ready to fight creatures from a million years from now.

* just where are the fanfics of eunice? i accept that she was only a one episode character, but seriously. this troper looked everywhere, and cant find it'
** A oneshot character whose episode only came out very recently has no fic? I am shocked. Really though, just give it time. I'm sure something somewhere will pop up.

* The way the others treat Ben in Eye of the Beholder. Ben ''does'' have stuff to take care of; every other week some horrible threat to the town - sometimes the entire world - pops up, and then you factor in minor threats like the forever knights. Yeah, he was a bit of a jerk, but running off-planet without a moments notice to find one errant alien that has a habit of disappearing seems like it'd just be tempting fate. I think it's the fact that they equate Ben ''not'' automatically abandoning his responsibilities as superjerkass behavior that bugs me the most. [[ArsonMurderandJaywalking And Ben hasn't said "I saved the whole entire universe!" for...what, seven or eight episodes?]] Which could translate into several weeks or months in the show's time. '''We are over this Selfish Character Arc, show. Move the hell on.'''

* Why is it that Ultimate Alien is only a few weeks after Alien Force. Why not a couple years after so that Ben is actually ready for more challenges and not some overpowered teenager who's only fought aliens for 3 months and then takes a five year break and after a year he already knows how to fight better than Grandpa Max who probably spent over 10 years training himself to fight Vilgax classic and not Vilgax pansy.

* What is the point of "unlocking" back Ben's old transformations when he's yet to use them? Most of them are pretty much obsolete because of the AF aliens. He got them back like five episodes ago. Sure it doesn't seem much but Ben could've used quite a bit of them. For example: In the recent episode Greetings from Techadon, the enemy was a robot machine. What could Ben have done at least? Try using Upgrade rather than the alien force aliens! None of the other aliens have the ability to merge with other machines and possess them. Or better yet in Simian Says, Ben could've turned into Heatblast rather than Swampfire and then from there Wildvine? Give those aliens some more screen time!

\n\n\n** I think it's because Kevin was his friend, so once he found the resolve to kill Kevin he didn't want to lose it. He trusted that if there was a way to save Kevin that Gwen and Co would figure it out. But if Kevin gave them no choice he knew that taking Kevin out would fall on his shoulders.

********ultimate forms don't necessarily have unique powers, all that the ultimatrix does is simulate them for 1000 generations under the harshest conditions, its unlikely that ultimate big chill would need to evolve that much under harsh conditions because it can already turn intangible and freeze things the only thing that would really be advantageous at that point is reducing the time that it takes to freeze things all the way.
