** That's simply the way he is. It's important to remember that the Maximals and Predacons aren't as much factions that you choose to side with ideologically as they are just castes in a society. Sure, Dinobot switched sides at the very start, but it's emphasized over and over that he is still nominally a Predacon. It isn't like the Autobots and Decepticons where the individuals are siding with ideals they happen to share, they're members of castes that determine their status and place. So there's nothing about being a Maximal that makes you inherently good-natured or peaceful, in fact, the Maximal Council of Elders has done some pretty messed-up stuff. Likewise, there's nothing about being a Predacon that inherently makes you deceitful or treacherous, and there's also no evidence that most Predacons are even like that- all the ones we see on the show are either criminals or were programmed by Tarantulas to be that way. Quickstrike is simply psychotic because he chooses to be.

** Despite later dialouge, it is shown that before Tarantulas intervened, the pod had actually already scanned Inferno's ant form, and there is a period of time between him removing the Maximal chip and installing the Predacon one, it has been theorised that, lacking any other sorce of programming, the pod used the one thing it actually had on hand at the time; the instincts derrived from the beast mode, to program Inferno during that time superceding the Predacon programming installed partway through his programming. And before someone notes it wasn't ''that'' long, we see, for instance, Airazor's pod scan a life form and progam an entire Maximal neural network in moments, so it's likely that the pod would be processing dozens of terrabytes every second at minimum.

** They're not teeth, merely rounded cylinders that are a part of the design. It's doubtful that they're meant to be anything other than metal since the original figure had this part be unpainted black plastic, the Robotmasters toy of BW Megatron made that area a bright purple, multiple future toys would make them silver, and the TV series made them a metallic purple/indigo color that is visibly different from his beast mode teeth.The animators likely changed them cylinders from solid black to give the model more color variety.
