**** My point about Barda's costume is that it was designed by one person, looked over by the editors, and she got stuck with it. You can blame Barda's original artist for designing the costume, but once the character changes hands the new artist has an obligation to stick with it. It'd be stupid for Linkara to complain about the costume in a book when it's not the artist's fault they have to draw it that way, the same way you can't blame anyone but Harry G. Peter for Wonder Woman's costume. All artists since the original are stuck with it until editors say otherwise, regardless of their views.

*** There's a difference between a character looking sexy and being sexual and outright objectification. I recall Linkara pointing that out in great detail in his Athena #1 review.

*** Maybe my mind was just inflating how many times he does it... as for Big Barda - she ''was'' drawn by the original artist to be sexy. (which isn't a bad thing, in my opinion; it just seems that Linkara is kind of arbitrary when it comes to when he does the whole "objectification of women is bad, mmkay?" stuff)

*** Not quite. At the end of that episode (Lunat!k #1) there's a card that says "What was Linkara doing in Molossia? Watch "Kickassia" to find out!" IIRC Linkara's vacation was supposed to be three months, and Kickassia takes place over the course of a week (I think). He was at home at the start of Kickassia because his vacation wasn't a huge, around the world trip, it was just a quiet period at home without having to read stupid comics.

Added DiffLines:

** Actually, yes it is the point. Insano's MultipleChoicePast is derived from RuleOfFunny. And Linkara's hatred of continuity errors stems from CharacterDerailment. Insano's past changing every episode is his defining character trait (outside of insanity) so it isn't out of character for his origins to change every appearance.

** Yes, but Big Barda has personality, and her outfit is something that was there from the beginning than the ''current'' artists just wanting to make her sexy. (We all know how resistant comics are to change.) When an artist first draws a character, it's different. You can blame it on him. As for the constant ranting--he only goes on tyrades, as you mentioned, when the subject ''really'' has it coming. Aside from that it doesn't seem that frequent; when it is a minor thing he makes a couple of angry remarks and moves on.

* Does anyone else get a little tired of him going into some sort of tirade (of varying degrees) about sexism in comics every other review? Some comics/creators naturally have it coming (Frank Miller in general, Sultry Teenage Super Foxes, the two books where Superman and Big Barda make a porno), but do we need it all the time? (such as his remark about Jim Lee's art being a 'bit too cheesecake', or that random rant out of nowhere) Objectifying women is bad, I get it already. It just reminds me of the guys I had art classes with who would constantly talk about how they're [[StrawFeminist super duper feminists]], and it'd come off as something they're saying to get laid. Also, his feminism when it comes to superheroine outfits seems a bit uneven - He freaks out over cleavage on an Image Comic cover, but doesn't give a crap that Big Barda basically runs around in a bikini and that her appearance was based off of a playboy centerfold? (I know it'll sound silly saying it now, but I ''am'' a fan, but this is just my one bone to pick)
* Also: Is anyone else disappointed that Bloodgun isn't a real comic yet?

I like that he doesn't drop the F-bomb at complete random (I've gotta agree with that one troper's dad... some of the critic kiddies DO seem like nerds trying to be h4rd0r3)... but some of his replacement words just don't... work. Just bleep it or exclude it altogether.
