Since ''Evangelion'' is one of the seven oldest looping universes, almost every looper has had the... ''pleasure'' of meeting his baseline self, and '''none''' of them are happy to see him looping. Thus, Gendo Ikari finds himself at the mercy of an entire ''multiverse'' that more or less hates his guts, and the recipient of yet even more abuse, only except this time he ''remembers it'']].

** Subverted and then ultimately PlayedStraight with [[Characters/InfinityTrainBlossomingTrailChloeCerise Chloe Cerise]] back in the Pokémon World: Due to all the bullying she had suffered from her classmates (with the majority of her teachers flat out refusing to stop it), Goh inadvertently shoving her aside in favour of Mew and her father unintentionally neglecting her for his research and his research fellows, she assumes everyone hates her simply because she doesn't like Pokemon, so she avoids opening up to others to avoid being hurt. However, once she boards the train, it soon becomes clear that people WOULD had loved Chloe had she opened up and her family and Goh really do care about her, despite their mistakes. Unfortunately, not only does Chloe initially declare their efforts to show that they do care to be 'too little too late', she also sends a message to her grieving brother, threatening to get back onto the Train and never return if the entirety of Vermillion doesn't 'work to earn her forgiveness' (essentially demanding that it changes to cater to her), resulting in him taking matters into his own hands with the Unown. Needless to say, once her involvement is revealed, she's left with very few people still wanting to have anything to do with her and it's made VERY clear to her by her disappointed mother that she has no one to blame for it but herself for her spoiled, spiteful behaviour.

He also noticeably gets the smallest cheers from the crowds whenever he enters a tournament, with the crowd even cheering for Pinkie after he beat her at one point. Pretty much the only person who knows him personally and ''doesn't'' outright hate him is his grandfather, Grand Hoof. But even ''he'' dislikes the path Lightning has gone down and outright admits Lightning is most likely BeyondRedemption at this point.

* Fanfic/KonosubaTheAdventuresOfSpiderHam: Everyone in the city of Axel utterly despises Paul and will jeer at him the first chance they get. His soon-to-be father-in-law, Kingpig is only tolerating him for his daughter's sake but promises to make Paul's life Hell if the man ever makes Mary Jane Piglet cry.

** Scott isn't too far behind her when it comes to this thanks to his sabotage strategy he attempted in ''Island'' and ''World Tour''. By the end of the series both the contestants and in-universe audience hates him so much that the promise of making him answer personal questions truthfully or get pelted with crabapples and thrown into an angry octopus tank nets the Aftermath the (quite large) sum of money needed to save the show almost in its entirety.

The only reason she didn't get voted off earlier is because of her bribing the other contestants and just sheer dumb luck. Even Chris and Chef seem to hate her just as much as everyone else. [[spoiler:The latter two seem to hate her just enough to the point where they’re completely fine with throwing her into shark-infested waters.]] At which, everyone present cheers for.

Even after Vale was bottled, he continues to terrorize the survivors by stealing supplies and killing anyone he doesn't like. It's enough that both the forces of Beacon and Torchwick's faction want him dead.

He gets even worse as he is repeatedly denied the million, leading to him [[spoiler:attempting outright murder, first to the final six of ''Pahkitew Island'' and then Chris himself]] in hopes of just stealing the money.

When he’s accidentally knocked out of the helicopter by Chris and lands on the island, Chris asks if they should go back for him, everyone including Chef just laughs at the idea. They then leave him stranded on the island to fend for himself. Leaving him with the fate of [[spoiler:being the camper to be mauled by Scuba Bear 2.0.]]

*** It's apparent that Alejandro has become more hated than even Heather for his actions in World Tour. When Gwen is worried she'll die underground and gives messages to other contestants in the confessional, she tells Heather that she'd be willing to bury the hatchet with her, but tells Alejandro to get bent. And in the four-parter, everybody sans Heather glares at him when he appears.

He infuriates pretty much all the contestants both participating and non-participating with his stupidity and arrogance, while Lindsay outright tells him that he was "kind of annoying". Geoff and Bridgette even show him a compilation of all his fellow competitors getting annoyed by his behavior and personality. Unlike Alejandro however, he is so stupid and full of himself that he doesn't realize that everyone hates him.

Even Megatron and Steeljaw barely tolerate her, though they do see her as useful.
