First poem takes lyrics from "Jacob's Ladder" and compresses it into acceptable 17-syllable form. The next sample references "Heart and Soul," although the lyrics are not entirely in the same order as in the source single. The final haiku, on the other hand, is a direct response to "Do you believe in love" rather than being a mere watered-down set of lyrics.

Her standing there, there?

You believe it, too?
