* Hilda's great aunt Astrid is quickly introduced with her fiesty habits, like telling Hilda to look into someone's eye when greeting them, so the devil won't think she's talking to him, or sprinkling Hilda's friends (''Alfur included'', as she's filled the paperwork long time ago) with feverfew and salt-of-water spirit for good luck.

* Hilda's [[OhCrapSmile reaction]] to Wood Man's dislike of humans breaking off pieces of Faratok Tree, as she came for similar reason.

* At first, it seems David can't hear Frida demanding him to get his feet off the train couch, due to listening to the music at the moment. But when Hilda remakrs she hasn't been in Tofoten before, David reacts with surprise, proving he was deliberately ignoring Frida.

* When everyone were flying on woff, David and Alfur had trouble flying, because the former's woff is sleepy, while the latter is flying on newborn. Pooka is also seen flying with them as a woff.

* When Hilda becomes exciting over learning about fairies, she falls from a tree, while Frida uses magic to prevent an apple from hitting her. David immediately asks Frida in joking manner if this is a valid reason to use magic, seconds after she said she will use it only for studies or when necessary, prompting Frida to immediately use magic to make an apple fall on David.
* Pooka, Astrid's shape-shifter neighbor, who constantly comes to her to borrow various stuff, and when she turns him down, he tries to shape-shift into something different, but as Astrid points out, it never out works because he can only change his [[ExactWords shape]]. And more funny, he continues to follow the gang through their journey to the woff cave.
* When Pooka steals the woff egg, Hilda pretends to be impressed with him, and asks him to transform himself into a dog, then herself (outright being uncomfortable over being mimiced by him) and lastly a snake, allowing her to take the egg back.

* Jorts somehow also manages to explain from local food corporation to a multinational snack empire in that span of time as well! If this happened in real-life, the economy would be especially unstable!!

* The reactions of Alfur, Twig, and Tontu to the mere idea of Hilda [[DreadfulMusician playing the pan pipies]]. Alfur puts on noise canceling headphones, Twig seeks shelter under the bed, and Tontu asks if he can take a look at the pan pipes for a moment, only to quickly take them with him into nowhere space to prevent Hilda from playing.

* The RunningGag of David always having a bug on him.
