** There's a very brief moment during the ambush that says quite a lot. When Vicky rams a chair into Michael's face, he seems blindsided and stunned by the sudden attack. Somehow, a chair to the face was enough to catch him off guard, even momentarily. And his body language after getting hit either looks like he's confused by what happened as if he was surprised by it or pissed that such an attack even got to him, almost as if he's thinking, "How fucking dare you!"

** Julian's [[GenreSavvy genre savvy]] tendencies in general being laugh-out loud. From telling Vicky to have Dave check his room for an intruder first, so he dies instead of her, all the way to immediately running from his bed than risk another second with Michael (though he does come back, sliding into TearJerker territory as she screams at him to run).

* Although they overlap with NightmareFuel, the glimpses of[[FunnyBackgroundEvent Michael in the background]] at the gas station. He can be seen parking the stolen truck, casually crossing the parking lot like he isn't a 6 foot 3 man in white asylum scrubs, and beating a mechanic to death with his bare fists so that he can steal his coveralls. All of this goes completely unnoticed.

** One can't help but feel Michael might have had a Batman moment: So that's what that feels like.

* When Laurie finds Michael after forty years, what is he doing? Looking at himself in a mirror inside one of the rooms in Julian's house for no reason. Then, when she shoots the mirror (mistaking its reflection for Michael), Michael [[MenacingStroll casually]] ''[[MenacingStroll speedwalks]]'' down the brightly lit stairway, as Hawkins yells and shoots at him; he' so calm during all this, might as well been whistling during all of this as he left.

** Depending how you look at it, it's also a {{Tearjerker}}, since Laurie is shown with a grim expression on her face as Hawkins leaves, probably regretting what she did, believing all this bloodshed is all on her somehow.

** Sartain asking if Hawkins has ever worn women's underwear. Hawkins just [[YouHaveGOTToBeKiddingMe stares at him]].
