* Though we discover that Sheldon mistakenly thought that his father cheated on his mother (it turns out that Mary was in a costume and Sheldon never realized it), Sheldon kept this "discovery" a secret for years. He stated that he and his father never talked about that moment. And Sheldon certainly isn't going to talk to his mom about it. This may have been part of the reason why his relationship with his mom is so strained and Sheldon being somewhat harsh on his father in the main series. Also, this moment may have been a factor into the reason why he has so many problems at the start of his relationship with Amy, because the only long term relationship example he knew had what he believed at least one parent cheating on the other, making it look like the marriage was a complete lie. Thankfully, [[CharacterDevelopment he got better as the main series went on]].

Think about it like this: his parents were probably the only clear example he had to a stable long term relationship. He "discovers" that his father cheated on his mom. How would that change his point of view about personal long term relationships? We probably get part of why he had so much trouble with having a personal relationship with Amy at the start: because of this mistake, Sheldon lost any solid concept of a stable partnership (this also explains why he was so insistent about Amy being a "girl and a friend" and not his "girlfriend", in addition to why he was okay with just having a test tube baby with Amy instead of actual sex with her). This one mistake basically ingrained in him a negative view of long term relationships. Thankfully, [[CharacterDevelopment he eventually got better as the main series continued]].

* Georgie skipped a grade. What likely happened is that he started his first year of high school in 9th grade, and then skipped to 10th grade mid-year; see the [[Timeline/YoungSheldon Timeline]] page for more info. It is unlikely that he did this well legitimately, so he probably got ahead by cheating, which he is shown to be very skilled at.

* In "A Tornado, A 10-Hour Flight, And A Darn Fine Ring" had Georgie, Mandy, baby Ceecee, Connie, and Dale been at home during the tornado, they could have all been KILLED since their house was destroyed.

*** His attitude toward sex would be compounded by his mother's moralizing, his father's cheating, and his brother's sexual escapades putting the family in dire straits. Not only does his mother continually pontificate about the sinfulness of sex outside of marriage; the truth of her words has been demonstrated to Sheldon by his father's and brother's actions.

* Georgie is treated as TheUnFavourite in the future by Mary. Considering how he quits school, gets an older woman pregnant after lying to her for months, and has the entire family both ostracized and kicked out of the church, it is understandable how an overly religious woman could hold a grudge over this for years.

** Though we know Sheldon is narrating his story, the fact is that we know that in this story, Sheldon emotionally DoomedByCanon because of the fact due to the factors presented in the previous series. His parents starting to have constant arguments have slowly just begun. Sheldon walking in on his father having sex with another woman who wasn't his mom hasn't happened yet. Nor has his father's death, nor any unknown factors that we haven't seen yet (nor mentioned by Sheldon in the previous series) that explains his disconnect from his mom and his siblings haven't occurred yet. And who knows [[FromBadToWorse what other things will go wrong]] before we see the origins of the Sheldon Cooper we're first introduced to in Season 1 of the prime series.
