* If Angel Dust treated the idea of redeeming himself in canon, why does he appear to be taking it seriously here? Because he's not in Hell. He's not in the ultimate punishment for someone where the idea of redeeming yourself is considered a laughable pipe dream. He's still on Earth, where criminals and drug addicts can actually turn their lives around. So he believes rehabilitation is possible because he hasn't died yet and gone to Hell.

* Wendy was mistaken for Merida, but let go because they realized they made a mistake. However, it's been revealed that Wendy in canon is actually bisexual. Considering that GWF members were willing to turn in ''their own family'' for not being straight, would the cult have picked her up again once they figured out that she actually was a "sinner"?

* Part of the reason Mr. Wolf agrees to become a prison snitch was to protect the other members of the gang, who he believes would end up being victimized. While the reasons for Snake and Webs are revealed in story (age and being a trans woman respectively), Shark and Piranha's are not. However, considering that Piranha is most likely Hispanic, considering how he speaks Spanish and Shark is most likely black and considering how we've seen minorities be treated in prison before, Wolf was right to worry for them as well.

* Crocker undergoing AdaptationalHeroism makes sense when realize that him becoming a villain was tied moreso to the way his series worked then his backstory-either Timmy or Cosmo revealed his Fairy Godparents, causing Jorgen to mind wipe him. Without the magic, none of that could happen and so Crocker doesn't have the motivation to turn into a villain in the first place.

* During "Loose Lips", as Ratigan goes over each of his victims and how he plans to keep them silent, he noticeably skips over Flug. Considering that Flug has both blackmail on him as well as ties to the criminal underworld, Ratigan most likely didn't do anything out of fear that if he tried to silence Flug, he'd ensure that the information was released.

to:

* The title comes from the poem "The Haunted Palace", in which the description is about lips and teeth, but think about what else it can apply to in this context. Pearl and ruby. White and red. ''Semen and blood.''

It’s a common misconception, but Afghanistan is actually not part of the Middle East.

** Lapis mentions being tried as an adult and incarcerated in an adult facility when she was eleven. She would have been in female prison as opposed to male, but it still raises some unsettling questions. Presumably her Middle Eastern/Muslim heritage influenced the trial negatively.

** This could also be racially motivated. Since Cuphead and Mugman are Black, this would be the reason Judge Hopkins tries them as adults.

* While the how good the cops actually were at their jobs had been questioned ever since the series began, Cuphead and Mugman's story shows just ''how'' bad things really are. To wit, the duo was tried as adults for a rather minor crime and thrown into an adult prison and when Cuphead kept acting out, the guards locked him up with known child abusers. Was Judge Hopkins really that respected? Or did the cops really care so little that they were willing to let a child get abused all because he was fighting his (very unjust) punishment?
