* WesternAnimation/PlaneCrazy Mickey speaking in nothing but squeaks and squawks in The Mickey Mouse 40th Anniversary Show is a bit jarring (even to Mickey himself), given how he typically has a voice in most media. However, it makes perfect sense from a meta/historical perspective, as this was exactly how Mickey spoke back in Plane Crazy and many of his earliest shorts, as he didn't have a proper voice until The Karnival Kid in 1929.

* In the episode Mickey's 60th Birthday we see how the whole community of his friends, fans and producers experiences an awful breakdown whenever Mickey is missing, may it be a few days. Now in the comics, it happens extremely frequently that Mickey goes on a foreign adventure where he can't signal his position everyday to the whole planet, or that he is kidnapped by a villain such as Pete or the Phantom Blot. Does this mean the poor Mickey fans are supposed to be depressed every now and then ?
