Other than Athos, Porthos, Aramis and d'Artagnan, there don't seem to be many King's Musketeers. Just written that way to keep us focused on our heroes... or could the massacre at Savoy just five years ealier have so depleted the regiment that there simply aren't many more Musketeers. In fact, that could go a long way towards explaining just why a promising d'Artagnan was immediately partnered so extensively with the best of the Musketeers.
