* At first, I thought it was contradictory that in the alternate timeline the Oppositio Senshi wanted to create, Mamoru was shown with both Rei and Usagi, and there was no implication in either case that he was in a polyamorous relationship or was having an affair (unless Rei's scenario takes place before Usagi's, but that would still mean that Rei wouldn't ultimately get what she wanted if she really did want Mamoru to marry her). I later realized that this is probably meant to be a sign that the visions the Inner Senshi were shown of their ideal lives really are just illusions and that the Oppositio Senshi weren't truly intending to give them the lives they were shown.

* At first, I thought it was could be seen as contradictory that in the alternate timeline the Oppositio Senshi wanted to create, Mamoru was shown with both Rei and Usagi, and there was no implication in either case that he was in a polyamorous relationship or was having an affair (unless Rei's scenario takes place before Usagi's, but that would still mean that Rei wouldn't ultimately get what she wanted if she really did want Mamoru to marry her). I later realized It makes more sense after considering that this is it was probably meant to be a sign that the visions the Inner Senshi were shown of their ideal lives really are just illusions illusions, and that the Oppositio Senshi weren't truly intending to give them the lives they were shown.
