Probably the best example of this is in "Pixelator", when Pixelator's obsession of taking Jagged Stone's photograph outclasses Hawk Moth's order to get the Miraculous, he somehow causes Pixelator pain until the villain agrees to focus on the Miraculous.

* Though out of order on Netflix and certain channels, this episode actually would introduce Mayura in a logical way if you think of why Hawk Moth would risk things on a damage Miraculous that took his wife from him. Gabriel would be hesitant to give Nathalie another chance in the field but would reconsider if it was largely for observation and reconocense, especially since Chloé was making enough of a fuss to make them take notice. She wouldn't exacerbate the Peacock Miraculous's damage if it was largely limited to being a disguise and for hand-to-hand combat. Amoks would come in handy but only if absolutely necessary since that would cause a relapse for her.

** Ladybug was wearing Pegasus's Miraculous herself.

*** In "Strike Back", Ladybug admits that she was keeping Cat Noir at a distance.

* Shadow Moth doesn't ask Risk to bring him the two Miraculous. That's because Risk isn't supposed to retrieve them, but to handicap the heroes. Strike Back actually has to fight the heroes and obtain the Miraculous.

* Adrien and Lila's newest fashion ensemble [[PaletteSwap is just their regular outfits drenched in white]]. Was it a cheap method for the animators to avoid drawing new outfits again? Or most likely to show how Gabriel wasn't going to commit to the world tour fashion shoot as he just needed it as an excuse to get Adrien out of Paris before summoning Strike Back. This is solidified as Gabriel orders Nathalie to cancel the shoot immediately after the sentimonter's incineration.

* Ladybug didn't call on the whole squad to deal with the huge sentimonster tearing up Paris:

** But above all, in "Risk" Alya minimizes Marinette's concerns and refuses to help her.

* When Félix/Flairmidable detransformed in "Strike Back" after giving Gabriel all the other Miraculous, [[FreezeFrameBonus a closer look at Barkk]] shows that she's not outraged or horrified, but instead quite somber and even stoic. In hindsight, her expression was one of realization; as this episode shows, she's known since [=WWII=] that one day all the Miraculous save for the Ladybug, the Black Cat, and the Rabbit would fall into the hands of a supervillain. For her, it wasn't a matter of ''if'' Hawk Moth would get his hands on the Miraculous, but of ''when'' and ''how''.

** The mutual contempt between Gabriel and Amelie. Apparently, [[RagsToRiches Gabriel became a famous and rich designer by his own means]], so he would despise Amelie for getting high status effortlessly, as well as a possible feeling that [[InsecureLoveInterest he isn't good enough]] for [[SpoiledSweet Emilie]]. While for someone like [[RichBitch Amilie]], Gabriel remains a nobody.

* In "Mayura", Marinette's classmates threw her a party because of her helpfulness and good deeds and even organized her to kiss Adrien, and everybody is happy by the end of the episode. [[HappyEndingOverride Come "Chameleon"]], and her reputation is put at stake when Lila [[ConsummateLiar easily convinces everyone with her lies]] and pulls {{Wounded Gazelle Gambit}}s to turn the class against Marinette. Almost everyone including the nicest ones is practically hypnotized by her lies and Marinette's relationships are quite severed. But this begs the question: what if Lila could ruin another person's reputation the same way she did to Marinette? What if she targeted [[AlphaBitch Chloé]], [[HateSink who already draws lots of ire from her class for good reasons]] [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold yet is starting to change for the better]], and made her out to be worse than she already was? If Marinette [[AllOfTheOtherReindeer being shot by]] {{Death Glare}}s [[AllOfTheOtherReindeer from her class]] was already harsh, [[IrrationalHatred imagine Chloé going through the same thing]].

* Félix's expression of sadness as he destroys Red Moon while calling his creation "sister", becomes more painful once his true nature as Sentimonster is revealed.

* More Fridge Sadness than anything, but Claw Noir's unhesitant willingness to take Cat Noir's Cataclysm to the chest just to gain the upper hand in a fight takes on a darker note, when it's later revealed both he and Shadybug were already slowly dying anyway by using the Miraculous without a timer, and that it seemed to him his Gabriel doesn't care about his anguish over the loss of his version of Émilie.

** As disturbing as the implication is, to be as skilled at manipulation as she is would require ''years'' of experience. With that in mind, there's a ''very'' high chance that Lila's actually an ''adult'' pretending to be a teenager. Imagine a 20-or-30-something year old woman going around town with multiple identities, conning multiple clueless women into thinking she's their daughter, playing innocent children like puppets, and trying to ruin a 14-year old girl's life and steal her boyfriend. The mere possibility that Lila's a [[PaedoHunt pedophile]] is disturbing by itself alone.

** As disturbing as the implication is, to be as skilled at manipulation as she is would require ''years'' of experience. * The fact that if a minor using a Miraculous for evil slowly kills them might be another reason why the Guardians only allowed the jewels to be used by adults. It wasn't simply because children were less able to wield them, but because if the power went to their heads and they decided used their jewels for evil, they'd be unnecessarily putting their lives at risk.

* Considering how Alternate Marinette's attempt to summon Gimmi only accelerated her necrosis from using her powers for evil, imagine what would happen to Gabriel if he tried using the Alternate Miraculous. At best, he'd be disoriented and furious. At worst, he'd be unnecessarily accelerating his Cataclysm wound.

** the worst part is that according to the "word of god" the sentis created to look like humans are in fact humans(since no matter if they are born through magic,technology or natural a human is still a human),that means that every human senti created by gabrie and nathaliel were humans and to disappear them they were killed,they are not villains now they are serial killers.

* Marinette's intense dislike over Chloé was thought to be from the latter's unpleasant personality and frequent flirting with Adrien. That is partially true, but another and more personal reason is how Chloé would bully her in the past; "Origins" state it was for (at least) four years before the storyline.
** It may have been longer, considering Sabine's astonishment is that they could be in the same ''class'' for four years in a row.

* The confirmation that Adrien was created before Felix explains Gabriel's disdain for his nephew and Colt:

** For Gabriel, Felix is nothing more than an "imitation" of Adrien. And this gives new meaning to the fact that Gabriel always referred to Adrien as "perfect" and that he always pushed him to be the best at everything. Gabriel wanted his son, an "original creation of Emilie" to surpass the imitation created by Colt.

* Argos seems easily forgiven but Ladybug knowing of Felix's turbulant upbringing and true origins would convince her that he's on the level or at least can be given proper guidance with his powers since he opened up to her.

* So the Horse Miraculous is a pair of... [[TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers Shades???]] Sure, this ''looks'' random, but keep in mind that the Rabbit Miraculous gives the holder the power of TimeTravel. It's entirely possible that the Mage saw the future one way or another.

** Assuming they caught on to her, it wouldn't be surprising if she did.

** Additionally, did Adrien ever experience any abuse from Colt Fathom when he was masquerading as his cousin?
*** Adrien "was" pretty confused and upset by Marinette when she was wearing the cowboy hat in "Psycomedian". He's usually pretty tolerant of her acting strange - maybe a subconscious connection to a past event was making him more anxious than usual?

* Why didn't the Guardians take away Dark Grimalkin's Miraculous? Because he was participating in the war under orders from his monarch, so he couldn't be considered a rebellious holder.

* Something else also makes sense with TheReveal–namely, the designs of some of the Akumatized villains. A number of them (the Bubbler and Reflekta in particular) are [[FashionVictimVillain fashion victim villains]], despite Gabriel's career. This makes sense when you realize that Gabriel doesn't want people to find out he's Hawk Moth...and what better way to keep people from making connections between a supervillain and a famous fashion mogul than to have your minions dressed as gaudily as possible?

Which roughly translates as ''"A talking trash can? That rocks!"'', delivered with her usual subdued tone and a smile.
* Mr. Pigeon could actually be a very dangerous Akuma if played strategically. He can ''talk to Pigeons''. While they sounds dumb, think of how many of the birds in Paris there are? AnimalEyeSpy anyone, and others with this power, such as ''ComicBook/TheFalcon'', are able to use this power as an incredibly dangerous spy network because in cities the birds are everywhere. He could probably find out Ladybug and Cat Noir's identities, or even find Master Fu. However the very manner of akumitization neuters this threat: because Akumas are driven by negative emotions and are chaotic as a result they don't always think that straight forward. Mr. Pigeon is motivated by his pigeons, not by his potential as a super villain. This limitation, among others, is one of Hawk Moth's greatest weaknesses, and is noticeable in akuma villains who are either willing participants (like Volpina or Miracle Queen) or are genuinely motivated in the general direction of defeating heroes (like the first Puppeteer).

* Though the Akumas must move very quickly, we've seen that they do take time to reach potential champions, and that if the victim's despair and anger fade during that time they can no longer be Akumatized. That provides yet another reason why most Akumatizations happen very close to the manor and Françoise Dupont: Hawk Moth prioritizes closer sources of emotion because they are more likely to last long enough for the Akuma to reach the potential villain. This is probably the reason why Monarch later systematically uses Kaalki's portal power to send his akuma faster and closer to its potential prey.
