** The counter before Mr. Burns changes it counts the amount of days between Lego Dimensions' release and the episode where Futurama crossed over with the Simpsons.

* People have complained about the Doctor's other incarnations not having original voice acting, with Crewtor/WilliamHartnell, Creator/PatrickTroughton, and Crestor/JonPertwee being exceptions for obvious reasons. But if you were to apply the logic that Lego Dimensions is based on the creative imagination of a kid, it would make sense that only the latest Doctor, at the time Creator/PeterCapaldi's Doctor, would have more flexibility on what he could say. New fans of Doctor Who, especially children, wouldn't be too interested in seriously watching older Doctor Who episodes, regardless of how popular previous actors were who played the Doctor, apart from whatever they could casually find on places like Website/YouTube.

* Similarly, the three Story Packs in Year Two relate to the franchises of the three characters we start out with in Lego Dimensions. In the very same order they enter the original game's story no less.

** [[AmicableExes Wyldstyle and Lego Batman's]] connection is [[SpinOff obvious.]] Robin also seems a bit similar to Emmet, but while Emmet was the main character, Robin is Batman's sidekick (and MoralityPet). ''The LEGO Movie'' [[AdvertisedExtra made it no secret that the Justice League, Gandalf, Dumbledore, Milhouse, and others were Master Builders,]] but ''The LEGO Batman Movie'' [[SirNotAppearingInThisTrailer doesn't show in any advertising that the Phantom Zone has Daleks, the Kraken, King Kong, Sauron, Voldemort, etc.]]

* One of [=GLaDOS=]'s quotes in the Portal 2 Open World is, "The Enrichment Centre advises that despite their nutritious appearance, the Material Wealth Incrementation Spheres are not edible. The Enrichment Centre takes no responsibility for the loss of teeth, or life, caused by attempting to eat one." Seems all fine and dandy until you realize that this could very well be a reference to real-life kids who tried to eat Lego. [[BlackComedy God, that is dark!]]

* While the Lego Batman games merely alluded to "''ComicBook/TheKillingJoke''" being canon with the inclusion of Joker's iconic vacation clothes, this one outright confirms it with one of Batman's lines being a call to Oracle.

* The amount of damage Lord Vortech has done to dimensions has some disturbing implications, Gotham and Metropolis have been spliced together, with Atlantis put right under it, and if ''Lego DC Supervillains'' is any indication, it seems it stuck. Springfield, Hill Valley, and numerous other locations weren't exactly left in one piece either in the main story, and one has to wonder how these affected the people there.

* Betelgeuse offers to protect Slimer from the Ghostbusters, "both the good ones and the bad ones". Even if you didn't hate ''Ghostbusters: Answer the Call'', those 'busters might seem more "bad" than the originals when you recall that Abby's and Erin's book inspired Rowan to unleash all those ghosts on New York. There's also the much more obvious fact that they accidentally got Bill Murray's RemakeCameo character killed.

* In the ''Film/BackToTheFuture'' level pack, Marty has the hoverboard, despite having never gone to the future at this point. However, he did get it in the movies during the year 2015, which is the year this game was released.

** Gandalf and Newt are both well-known wizards who hang out with [[TheMuggle muggles]] (Newt with Jacob, while Gandalf commonly visited a village of Hobbits) from franchises often compared and contrasted with each other. ''Fantastic Beasts'' is a prequel series to ''Harry Potter'', while ''Lord of the Rings'' has a prequel series in ''The Hobbit''. Sauron's One Ring is a corrupting artifact that could seal his doom if it's destroyed, similar to Voldemort's Horcruxes, and in ''Fantastic Beasts'', Grindewald plays the role of TheCorrupter himself.
