* The deceased children Manny meets in Year 3 have little wings on them, making them look like angels. Manny calls them "Angelitos". In Mexico, Day of the Dead is for the adults (Nov 2) while the day preceding is to honor the departed children, known as 'Día de los Angelitos' or "Day of the Little Angels".

* Manny's description of his scythe, arguably his single most important possession in the Land of the Dead considering his job, is that "[he] like[s] to keep it next to where [his] heart used to be", which for most of the game doesn't sound ''too'' meaningful since he appears to store his entire inventory in the same place. Near the end of the game, when [[spoiler:Olivia betrays him]], the scythe is briefly taken away from him - understandable, as it is still, essentially, a weapon, even if he only used it that way once in the entire game. [[spoiler:It is highly likely that it would've saved him from Hector's sproutella dart by acting as a PocketProtector. Considering Manny survived that encounter through sheer luck (because he stole a bottle of liquid nitrogen for a completely unrelated earlier puzzle), this just highlights the fact that, separated from his scythe, he becomes more vulnerable, even if he isn't using it as a tool or for defense.]]
* As part of a puzzle, Manny gives some right punches to Domino's training bag. Later on, he uses that same punch to floor Nick. This doesn't work on other people Manny has to confront, since they're all armed.
* Double N tickets are attracted to their owners and no-one else. [[spoiler:Hector]]'s plan was destined to fail.

* Manny apparently spent a long time with nothing but bad clients, being berated by Don Copal for his low productivity. But he only comes up with the idea of stealing Domino's clients after the gazpacho poisoning event - when Domino sent Manny's driver home, which in turn delayed Manny and denied him the chance of getting a decent customer. Manny didn't fell into the temptation of using underhanded tactics; he was forced to use them, because his colleague was already playing dirty.

** According to Eva, he is the boss' "whipping boy" - so probably just for appearances sake.

* Most people who get sprouted die almost immediately. But Lola is still alive when Manny finds her, and apparently has been there for a while, since we don't see anyone coming out. That means Lola was sprouted using Hector's slow working sproutella. So not only did Nick kill her, he killed her in the cruelest way too, and left her to die. No wonder he goes straight to hell.

* It's repeatedly said that sprouting is the only way to kill someone in the land of the dead. [[spoiler: So when Domino got caught in the coral grinder, he wasn't sprouted. [[AndIMustScream Meaning he's still alive.]]]]

** It would be reasonable to assume Copal had no reason ''not'' to be hard on Manny for poor work, even if he knew there was no way for him to do better. Anything less than his usual hardass behavior would be suspicious. Alternately, he wanted an excuse to fire the guy.
*** Also, this means that Hector can approach Manny for recruitment into the gang. Desperate people will do anything. My guess is that Domino would have approached him with an offer at some point, if Manny hadn't stolen his client.

** Being on fire is what allows them to swim in the tar - you put out their flames, they sink instantly. Presumably it's not hot enough to actually light the tar.
** WordOfGod says they're nuclear. Schafer also stated that Thermonuclear Flaming Beaver Demons ''would'' be a good name for a band.

** You're driving through a hidden tunnel, and a place full of burning beavers, and then some winding roads. You don't encounter Meche or Celso, so I assume the walking path is different than the driving path. Also, Celso has a compass in the stock, so the road isn't as winding for him. And lest we forget, Glottis ripped out his own heart, delaying Manny even more. I think we can all assume that he wasn't as delayed, and that's why he reached Rubacava first.
*** According to the street signs, Rubacava is more than 1000km away from El Marrow. It would have been impossible for Celso to outrun Manny there, even if Manny was delayed. Either at some point in the story there is a time skip that we aren't told about - maybe Manny stayed in a lot of towns to ask for information about Meche before reaching Rubacava? Otherwise, there's no reason for him to believe that she would have reached Rubacava before him simply by walking. Or it was simply a development oversight.

** You completely missed the point. Of the ENTIRE game. The Number Nine takes four minutes to complete the journey from El Marrow to the tunnel. Walking from El Marrow takes four years (as demonstrated by Manny's journey), then it's just a formality of entering the tunnel. Chepito could be gone the second he enters the tunnel and he might not even go to the same afterlife as the train. No-one knows.
*** It's pretty clear from the game that the tunnel leads into the next world straight away, as per [[http://i.imgur.com/5XueQvd.png this screenshot]].

** It's possible their parents are still alive; alternatively, they were separated and reached the Ninth Underworld without their children. It's pretty clear by the wings that kids are not meant to linger in the Eighth Underworld and Hector keeping them imprisoned is yet another reason he's a monster.
** On that subject matter, exactly how long has the scheme to screw the Number Nine ticket owners out of their rightful place in the afterlife been going on? Considering how Manny has been stuck with crappy clients for years, it's conceivable that it's been going on for years! What's more, what's to say it hadn't been going on even while Manny was selling bigger packages? What if in more recent years Hector had just grown more successful?
