The series focuses on a world where magic is commonplace and wizard guilds are formed to perform various jobs throughout the land. One such guild is the titular Fairy Tail, which a girl named Lucy is a fan of and--by sheer coincidence--happens upon one of its most prominent members, a [[TheDragonslayer Dragon Slayer]] named Natsu, who invites her to join. From there, other members of the guild are showcased and become prominent characters alongside other mainstays and additional members who join on through the series.
