Taking place in a world where magic is everything, Asta and Yuno are abandoned at a church on the same day. Although Yuno is gifted with exceptional magical powers, Asta is the only one in this world without magic. At the age of fifteen, both receive their grimoires, tomes that amplify their users' magic. Asta gains a rare Grimoire of Anti-Magic that negates and repels his opponent’s spells. As opposites and friendly rivals, Yuno and Asta work to achieve their shared dream of becoming the Wizard King.

Started off as a series in [[Magazine/ShonenJump Weekly Shōnen Jump]] written and illustrated by Yūki Tabata before expanding into various types of media.
