''Swindle'' is a 2013 made for TV movie by Nickelodeon, released on August 24th. It is an [[FilmOfTheBook adaptation]] of a book of the same name by Gordon Korman. The film's main cast is comprised almost entirely of stars from Nickelodeon's recent LiveActionTV block- Noah Crawford and Chris O'Neal from ''Series/HowToRock'', {{Jennette McCurdy}} from ''{{Series/iCarly}}'' and its SpinOff ''Series/SamAndCat'', Noah Munck from ''iCarly'', Music/ArianaGrande from ''{{Series/Victorious}}'' and ''Sam & Cat'' and Ciara Bravo from ''Series/BigTimeRush''.

* XMeetsY: It's basically what you get if Nickelodeon made a ''Film/MissionImpossible'' or ''Film/OceansEleven'' film, with ''Film/HomeAlone'' style gags.

* BillingDisplacement: In the ads, Jennette [=McCurdy=] and Ariana Grande are billed before Noah Crawford and Chris O'Neal, who play the main characters. On the film itself [=McCurdy=] receives top billing followed by Crawford and O'Neal (Grande receives [[AndStarring "With"]] billing).

* KarmaHoudini: The gang breaks into Swindell's shop, steals his hotel reservation, and leaves him on the hook for a thirty-five thousand dollar hotel room, not to mention coercing him into returning something that he purchased from them legally (if not ethically). Granted, he had it coming, but still, they're never made to actually answer for any of this ''and'' they pocket a cool 1.2 million on top of it. They also utterly destroy an unfortunate couple's wedding without consequence, though they do at least have the decency to pay back the couple by footing the bill for their honeymoon.

* XMeetsY: It's basically what you get if Nickelodeon made a ''MissionImpossible'' or ''OceansEleven'' film, with ''HomeAlone'' style gags.

* ThoseTwoActors: This is the third project Noah Crawford and Chris O'Neal have worked on, after HowToRock and YouGottaSeeThis.

* DawsonCasting: Most of the main actors are in their early twenties, yet play high-school students. Par for the course for Nickelodeon.
** Ciara Bravo's character is stated to be a 7th grader and she was 16 when the film premiered.

* AllStarCast: In terms of Nick stars from the last few years at least- most of their major live action shows are represented by one or two actors.

* ArsonMurderAndJaywalking: In a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment, Swindell is [[LogginOntoTheFourthWall shown on a business review site]] to be [[WantedPoster wanted]] for forged checks, scamming old ladies, [[BreadEggsBreadedEggs loan sharking, shark loaning]] and [[EvilIsPetty taking candy from a baby.]]

** The protagonists are a crew of conman and thieves. Does it matter?
