* Inko is sometimes portrayed as resentful towards how Bakugo treated Midoriya over the years, and only wouldn't have taken any action because her own son kept stopping her and creating excuses for him.
* For many fans, Inko and Mitsuki were childhood friends, with their relationship being different to that of their children, with Mitsuki being a HotBlooded JapaneseDelinquent, while Inko was the CloudcuckoolandersMinder who stopped her from getting into fights. Some also add Masaki to the mix and showcase them as high school sweethearts. Some fans take this a step further. Despite Bakugo treating Midoriya terribly over the years, he has high respect for Inko. This is thanks to his mother's influence and Inko managing to raise her son all by herself. * Hisashi Midoriya is frequently portrayed as being almost totally absent from his son's life to the point that Izuku can't even remember his face. While this is somewhat justified by Hisashi's status as TheGhost in the story, it's more than likely that there are at least a few family photos of him lying around the apartment.
* Before Toya's name was revealed, many fanfic writers opted to call him Ryota Todoroki or the short form, Ryo.
* Toya and Fuyumi being twins was a popular assumption before it was confirmed they are a year apart. Fan works that use this idea also sometimes give Fuyumi the inverse condition of Toya's Quirk, inheriting Rei's ice Quirk but having weakness to frost and heat resistance. While it was later confirmed Fuyumi does have an ice Quirk, a comment from Natsuo about him and Fuyumi not doing well in the heat debunks the latter part.
* It is fairly common for fan works to depict Natsuo as Quirkless. This is likely due to the fact that unlike the rest of the Todoroki family, his Quirk is neither clearly shown nor mentioned, leaving enough room to interpret him that way. Given that he can withstand the cold and doesn't do well in warm weather, it is more likely he has an ice Quirk akin to his mother and sister[[note]]though Toya having a similar condition despite possessing a fire Quirk shows it is possible for Rei's children to inherit her cold-resistance without also inheriting her ice Quirk[[/note]].

* Like Midoriya, Aizawa is often portrayed as autistic due to his introverted personality and logic-based thinking, common autism traits.

* Pairing-wise, due to him being blatantly uninterested in girls, Bakugo is often depicted as gay (often with Kirishima, even outside SlashFic), just firmly celibate or even [[UsefulNotes/{{Asexuality}} asexual]]. If he is depicted as straight, he's only ever paired up with Ochaco (because he seems to respect her to some degree, even though she doesn't look for his company at all) and with Camie (because his brief interactions with her at the Remedial Course were non-aggressive).

* When Bakugo's hero name needs to be mentioned in fanworks, fans usually go with Ground Zero. This stems from the fact that Bakugo's early concepts said that this was his hero name.
