* It's also widely assumed that All For One ''caused'' Shigaraki to accidentally kill his family (aside from his abusive father, who Shigaraki very deliberately murdered). The timing of Shigaraki's initial Quirk activation was just too perfect for breaking the boy and allowing All For One to corrupt him, and All For One is known to have "Forced Quirk Activation" as one of his stolen Quirks. Plus, its just the kind of over-the-top vile thing he ''would'' do.

* The fandom believes that there is a "Bakusquad" and a "Dekusquad". The former is a group that usually hangs with Bakugo composed of Kirishima, Sero, Kaminari, and Ashido (with the possible addition of Jiro and Shinso), while the latter is the group that hangs out with Midoriya, composed of Ida, Uraraka, Todoroki and Tsuyu (with the possible addition of Yaoyorozu, Tokoyami, Shinso, Aoyama and Mineta). While it's not far-fetched to believe these characters to be friends, they are never actually seen hanging out in these groups.

* It is fairly common for fan works to depict Natsuo as Quirkless. This is likely due to the fact that unlike the rest of the Todoroki family, his Quirk is neither clearly shown nor mentioned, leaving enough room to interpret him that way. Given that he can withstand the cold and doesn't do well in warm weather, it is more likely he has an ice Quirk akin to his mother and sister[[note]]though Toya having a similar condition despite possessing a fire Quirk shows it is possible for Rei's children to inherit her cold-resistance without also inheriting her ice Quirk[[/note]].

* After Bakugo is shown to be able to cook, some fans like to portray him as a downright SupremeChef in the kitchen in contrast to Midoriya's fanon inability to cook at all.

* All For One's exact age and how long he's been a villain have never been explicitly stated, due to his having a Quirk that extends his lifespan, but ''FanFic/ConversationsWithACryptid'' popularized the idea that he's at least two hundred years old, and most fanfics run with that number. It's also assumed, in the same vein, that said Quirk makes him functionally ageless, and that he could theoretically live forever. [[spoiler:Chapter 270, however, disproves this by revealing he only gained the Longevity Quirk seventy years ago, meaning he's one hundred at most, and that it only doubles a person's lifespan, rather than extending it indefinitely]].

* According to Horikoshi, Ibara Shiozaki was originally slated to be a member of Class 1-A. Fans mistakenly believe this was changed due to him finding her hair difficult to draw, as both statements came from the same character brief. However, Horikoshi simply stated in the brief that he couldn't remember the exact reason, something that would be unlikely if it was connected to the aforementioned hair issues. Additionally, quite a few fans believe that Shiozaki is a Catholic, while in canon there's no real indication of what denomination she is a part of. Her hero name originally being Maria in development lends credence to this since Catholicism is known for its veneration of Mary, but it is not the only denomination to do so [[note]]Reverance for Mary can also be seen in Orthodox, Lutheran, and Anglican denominations[[/note]].

* There are surprising numbers of fans who believe Present Mic is hard of hearing and using hearing aids, judging by the Archive Of Our Own tag. It’s likely because he’s the other character with a tendency to shout and perhaps prolonged effects of his quirk and use of what appear to be noise-modulating headphones in his costume.

* She is often depicted as being Ryukyu's best friend, due to both being [[AnimalThemedSuperbeing heroes with animal motifs]] and [[TwoGirlsToATeam the only female heroes amongst the Top 10]]. She is also often decipted as Hawks friend, sometimes his first and OnlyFriend, to the point he confides her with details of his life under the Commission's clutches.

The main reasons for this include Shigaraki having a resemblance to All For One's brother, especially once [[spoiler:he has fully white hair]], and the fact All For One's bond with Shigaraki is manipulative and self-serving in a similar way to that between All For One and his brother since All For One seems to have some level of care for them. Whether he [[EvenEvilHasLovedOnes does care but has an unhealthy and unempathetic mindset about it]] or [[JerkWithAHeartOfJerk doesn't care about them at all]] is dependent on the work's interpretation.
** The idea that All For One sexually abused (or at least groomed) Shigaraki is fairly common in fan works. Much of this is owed to the fact that All For One is already an [[AbusiveParents unhealthy and manipulative father figure]] to Shigaraki, in addition to the fact it makes the already TragicVillain Shigaraki's life that much [[TraumaCongaLine more horrible]]. [[spoiler:All For One possessing Shigaraki's body later in the story]] only added to this.

* Meta Liberation Army
** Since their introduction, the Meta Liberation Army has frequently been depicted in fanfics as being extremely biased against the Quirkless and even using their positions of power in society to censor the exploits of Quirkless heroes and individuals. If Midoriya is some sort of Quirkless notable they will appear earlier than canon and be racist against him for it while trying to obscure him from the general public. Outside of Geten, and later the skull-masked PLF lieutenant mentioning [[TheSocialDarwinist social Darwinist views]] about one's place in society being determined by one's Quirk, the army members have never said anything that can be used to extrapolate this behavior and this is simply used to add more active anti-Quirkless discrimination.
** To add fuel to their villainy, Detnerat is often decipted as an EvilInc that not secretly provides weapons disguised as Support Items to the black market, but also refuses to provide services to groups they hate, like mutants and Quirkless people. They are also presented as an IncompetenceInc., providing floppy and poorly made products to civillians and heroes. Fans even go as far as blaming them for Yaoyorozu and Hagakure's costume designs if the writer wants to have them changed and desires to blame someone for what they don't like about said costumes.
