* ''Comments'': This story takes place during the finale after [[spoiler: Tenma saves Johan's life again]] but before the final scene of the series. Really creepy and unsettling. It's short so it's an easy read, as well. Nothing too over the top in terms of horror and gore but focuses more on the creeping sense of dread, much like how most of the anime/manga does.

* Comments: Don't mind the [[Music/TheSmashingPumpkins emo]] title - this is one story with incredible depth and intensity. It follows the end of the series, exploring (rather extensively) Dr. Tenma's state of mind as he tries to work out his sense of purpose, guilt, and obligation. It's very character-based, and it features a rather deep look into the main characters' psyches and motives, and it's absolutely fantastically written.
** YMMV, the fic starts slowly but when I saw the description of the OC reporter that seemed [[MarySue suspicious]] to me, I thought "ThisIsGonnaSuck" the random sex scene made me close the window immediately.
** It's not really about the relationship with the OC. That said, I find Tenma somewhat [[OutOfCharacter OOC]] in this. I can't see him sleeping with a random woman. Nor would I imagine him being that...[[JadeColoredGlasses bitter]] internally, even after everything he went through. He seemed more solemn and sad rather than outright cynical in canon. Well-written, but ultimately YMMV.
