* Synopsis: Following the defeat of Zamasu and the erasure of his own universe Trunks was able, thanks to Whis, to settle into a universe much like his own alongside Mai. Only another Trunks and Mai existed in this one as well. Ones who had never met Goku Black due to Whis awakening Beerus to stop him before he had grown too powerful. With no threats remaining Trunks chose to alienate himself from this version of himself and made a peaceful life with Mai on an island far away from battle. A few years later mysterious beings attacked Earth and the resident Trunks of this timeline faced them alone. Trunks was too late to save his other native timeline self, who had never even unlocked the state of Super Saiyan 2, and without the Dragon Balls to revive the fallen Trunks his guilt over his inaction only intensified. Was he right in trying to alienate himself from this timeline as he had done? Did he really deserve to live in peace with Mai? * Synopsis: They say that love is in the little things. An exploration of Goku and Vegeta's relationship through the eyes of the Z-fighters, as well as their own. Teamfic, get together fic.
* Pairings: Goku/Vegeta
* Tags: M/M, Slow Burn, Protective Goku, Protective Vegeta, Supportive family
* Commentary: Outsider POV of Goku and Vegeta's relationship, if you count the Z-fighters as outsiders. This is one of those fics that just gets better and better as the chapter progresses. Goku and Vegeta's characterisation is on point, their slow attraction to eachother but devotion to their families extremely believable. Future Trunks' chapter is an absolute godsend and can stand on its own. Eighteen quietly ships these two idiot saiyans, while Chichi and Bulma are queens who deserve to be worshipped for being so supportive. Just read it, you will not be disappointed. Although it is centered on Goku and Vegeta, each of the cast's caharcterisation is spot on.
This troper honestly thinks anything by this author is a worthy read. It is not a understatement when this troper says that the author's writing of not only their relationship but the characters inside thoughts as well is some of the best in the fandom.

Chapter 2: Goku protects Vegeta and almost dies. Vegeta realises he cares for this idiot and panics, going into crisis mode.

Chapter 4: Vegeta is trapped but he starts to let go.
Chapter 5: Future Trunks is fascinated at their relationship.
Chapter 6: Eighteen enters the game and plays her cards. Goten helps.

* Commentary: Given Dragon Ball Super does not have a separate section, figured this goes here. Beyond the simple rarity of a fic focusing on the Trio de Danger, it is a good read on top of it.

* Commentary: A pretty well told short story about Vegeta and Frost, where both characters talk about their origins. This is possibly the most complex character study for both characters, condensed into a fine detail, and allowed Frost to be a more complex individiual, and explains his motives for entering into the tournament.
