Of course there are things that aren't moral in this story, but I want you to discover it yourself and actually think why some of the things the nations do is immoral. I write the nations as I think they would behave, not as they SHOULD behave. They are not parrots to squawk my views to the world. My views are in my author notes. Not in the story. I do the hours of research, thinking, writing and fine-tuning of the story. You reflect on the story and make up your mind about the themes found in the story. * ''Comments'': A sad, emotionally raw tale about France's history with Jeanne. Knowledge of the parallels the author makes to ''GunnerkriggCourt'''s Diego and his own Jeanne makes it even more affecting, especially with how the author gives France several of Diego's own lines that emphasize the similarities and differences between these two characters, but you don't need to know about ''GunnerkriggCourt'' to understand and ''[[TearJerker feel]]'' France's emotional turmoil, just as powerful as it was during Jeanne's death.
** Seconded. Even if you haven't read ''GunnerkriggCourt'' [[strike:READ IT, IT'S AWESOME]] the portrayal of France and Jeanne's relationship (as compared to Diego and Jeanne's) is just wonderful.

* Comments: A well written multi-chapter fiction. It's similar to a SuFin fiction this troper has read. My only problem though is that Toris seems to give into Ivan's demands for intimate interaction too easily. Though this might relate to canon, it doesn't necessarily build a strong character for Toris. However, I must commend the author on their willingness to use what they've learned as a psychology student in order to make the story flow easier. She has done what many fanfiction authors refuse to tread.

* Comments: This story is absolutely hilarious, and not in the crack sense of the word. It utilizes a mix of e-mails, facebook, text messages, post-cards and actual story to map out a fantastic, humourous story about Prussia and Canada realising their feelings for each other, while being 'helped out' by their friends. The author's got a great, fun style of writing and characterizes everyone really well. This story is actually the reason this troper became a PruCan fan.

* ''Pairings/Characters:'' USUK, some past FrUK which is non-con.

* ''Pairings'': Mainly Spamano, with sides of PruCan, FrUK, USUK, GerIta, and more.

* Comments: BetterThanItSounds. While prostitute AUs aren't exactly a novel concept, it's very well written and quite the TearJerker. Though (in a similar vein to "Part Right, Half wrong, a Third Crazy", above) soe of the characters come off as slightly OoC depending on your view of them, particularly Arthur (who is...how shall I say...a bit of a twat here) and Ivan (less noticeable, just toning down the AdultChild quirks quite a lot). Also, Ivan is sweet to the point of "why does this man not ''exist''?!" and there are enough mood-lightening jokes and awesomeness (Pretty much every scene with Feliks and Taurys, for example) to balance out the darker elements.

** Can't second the rec. I ''love'' France/Seychelles but the writing here is mediocre, the story is all over the place, it has completely out of place bits of GratuitiousJapanese and other languages appear google-translated. Overall it's not a pleasant reading experience.

* ''Synopsis'': Meet Alfred Jones, a coked-up socialite. And now meet Matthew Williams, a depressed nobody that's working two and a half jobs to make ends meet and is failing at it. This is not going to be pretty.
* ''Comments'': Like chocolate covered cocaine. This fic is dramedy in the truest sense of the word, going from heart-wrenching to hilarious and back again. Save The Rave also has a very refreshing writing style; quirky and sarcastic and it works, it really does. the AlternativeCharacterInterpretations are awesome, and I love how hetalia characters are woven into the background of the AU so easily (for example, Hungary and Vietnam work in starbucks). In continuing the [[GushingaboutShowsYouLike gushing about fanfics you like]], their problems (Mattie's depression and Alfred's drug addiction, are very well researched and never felt like they were thrown in just to make the story darker. Oh, and Mattie's absolutley batshit, but he's smart, and he gets such awesome lines (See- the whole bit with the lamp and why you should not take it's advice).

* One of the best writers I've come across, at least in the US/UK area. Whether is it fluff or more serious topic, oneshot or a long fic, her writing will be top notch, with amazingly portraited emotionsand always unique. Really, as long as Alternative Universes don't bother you, you may want to take a look at her magnificent stories.

* ''Comments'': The story forms part of the "RDNA-verse," derived from the ''[[http://www.alternatehistory.com/discussion/showthread.php?t=162947 Hetalia ISOT Nation Game]];'' knowledge of the latter isn't really necessary, [[spoiler: but the end leads up to it.]] Though the narrative's mainly focused around Francesca[[spoiler: C. Edelstein-Hedervary]] and the doctor's efforts, the annotations reveal further bits and pieces of the wider world. The Doctor himself also serves as a sort of AudienceSurrogate, giving a story about AnthropomorphicPersonifications a human perspective. Also, most of the story is told through diary entries from the titular doctor. Without spoiling much, things [[{{Understatement}} didn't go so well]]; by the time the story takes place, the Terror had already been over for seven years. [[spoiler: [[DarkFic And all]] [[DeadAllAlong that it]] [[{{Tearjerker}} implies.]]]]

* Synopsis: A series of one-shots exploring the interaction between the countries and their beloved people. Sometimes, one person needs just as much help as the whole. * Comments: This is one of the sweetest things I've ever read for any fandom. The characterization is dead-on--or rather, well-adapted to the different tone--and the author really makes you feel for the ordinary people and their troubles.
