* Comments: Incredibly tragic and character-driven story that really focuses on the pain the sisters experience from their trauma and separation, especially Vi and her struggle to reconcile between her place in the Undercity under Silco and the freedom and love she craves at times. May seem to drag things out too long for unnecessary suspense a few times, but overall it's definitely worth a read.

The two are captured by Silco – Vi becoming his right hand and de facto leader of the lanes, and Powder being sent away to Stillwater prison as a hostage. But Powder is done being a jinx to the people she loves. Instead, she’ll use her bad luck to foil every plan Silco has for her. The first step? Get out of the prison cell. The second? To figure out how to get the two well meaning scientists who have taken her in to let her close enough to their research to build a bomb.
* Comments: Extremely well-written, this fic is consistent with its characters, especially Mel and Powder, and manages to write realistic dialogue both in political and casual discussions, as well as building relationships in an interesting way. The fic as a whole is very engaging and fascinating, both in the sense that Powder and Vi's relationship and care for each other isn't as broken as in the TV show and that characters grow and learn more through their interactions with each other. Additionally, this is part of a series, with the author intending to write the next works afterwards which hasn't yet been released.
