** Due to the GuiltComplex drummed up by [[spoiler: accidentally crippling Izuku]], Katsuki Bakugo has spent his life trying to atone for it. He helps Izuku get used to his new condition, defends him against bullies and is the only person he ever apologizes too. Sure he is still hostile to everyone else and he still curses and rages at Izuku from time to time, but most of the time it is AngerBornOfWorry and Izuku knows he does not really mean it.

** In canon, Masaru Bakugou had the power to secrete nitric acid which resulted in Katsuki when combined with Mitsuki's glycerin sweat. Here, Masaru's power is the seperate Truth seeking quirk and Mitsuki has explosion powers which Katsuki inherited from her.

* AfraidOfTheirOwnStrength: After accidentally crippling Izuku, Katsuki is very aware how dangerous his explosions can be. While Katsuki will still attack people or play fight with Izuku, he is very careful on the strength of his explosions.

* TheBabyOfTheBunch: Due to Izuku's naviete and kindness, the rest of Class 1-A is very protective of him with Kirishima outright referring him as the baby of the class.

** When Izuku was very young, he would gave anything to have a quirk and resent people having them. After a crippling accident awoke his telekinetic powers, Izuku admits that he would have rather to be able to walk.

One day, Izuku thought he'd try to do something nice for Katsuki by making a lunch with his telekinesis, coating himself with soot, filling the room with smoke, and blackening one of the pots. Since he knew Katsuki liked spicy things, Izuku also used hot sauce on everything and turned the rice "fucking flaming hot red". Despite all of this, Katsuki is bewildered when the food actually tastes good. Lampshaded of course.

* DisabledInTheAdaptation: Aside from the obvious (Izuku becoming handicapped), it is mentioned that Shota Aizawa was partially blind in his youth while Hizashi Yamada had hearing difficulties. Izuku has green hair from his mother and freckles from his foreign father. Katsuki explains that his blonde hair came with the Explosive Quirk gene from his mother's side of the family.

* PlotAllergy: Toshinori is violently lactose intolerant due after losing a fraction of his stomach. After a barista deliberately messed up his order and put dairy in his coffee, Toshinori suffers a violent vomiting fit and has to hospitalized for it.

* PsychicNosebleed: After Izuku was able to obliterate the giant robot in the entrance exam, he tries using his quirk to float himself to safety when he starts falling, only to be met with a sharp pain in his head. Later on, Izuku's battle with Shoto in the Sport's Festival causes blood to leak out of his nose and mouth.

** Katsuki's elementary school teacher. When Katsuki ends up with a fight due his classmates mocking Izuku and his disability. He punishes the bullies and lets Katsuki with a warning that he won't go into a good school if he gets into fights. * UndisclosedFunds: Inko is a working-class single mother but is able to afford Izuku's care due to Hisashi's child support. Which is presumably a lot of money since she's able to afford rehabilitation, Izuku's surgeries and handicap-friendly furniture which don't come cheap.
* TheUnmasking: When Izuku accidentally losing full control of his quirk in the Tournament Arc, gravity is cancelled out in the entire stadium. This brings up various concerns, as not only did everyone in the stadium witness first hand Izuku's raw power, but by extension the rest of the world through broadcasting. This is seen as a problem, as Izuku's mother, All Might, [=UA=] and by extension the entire Japanese government has been trying to keep Izuku's power a secret for fear of any villain wanting to use his powers despite having grown up to defend himself. At best, he would be seen as nothing more than an asset like all other celebrities, at worst other governments would see him as a [[PersonOfMassDestruction weapon of mass destruction]].

* WeakButSkilled: Ochako compared to Izuku, only has the ability to make things and herself float when she touches them while Izuku has flat out Telekinesis. That said, Ochako has a lot better control and precision than Izuku does.

* RantInducingSlight: A furious and devastated Inko lets one out when a wrong latte order hospitalizes Toshinori. She points out Izuku and Toshinori's dietary limitations mean certain foods are catastrophic or outright fatal to them.

** Your children are out playing in the park and one of them gets into a near-fatal accident that permanently cripples them for life and traumatizes the other. This is something Inko and the Bakugou parents have to live through.
