Trim down the explanation here into something a bit easier

Then on July 24, 2013 the Website/YouTube duo known as the WebVideo/SuperCarlinBrothers made [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0OTZo3-K5s a video]] explaining the theory, since then the Pixar theory has exploded in popularity. Negroni has even written [[https://books.google.com/books/about/The_Pixar_Theory.html?id=i4jFsgEACAAJ&source=kp_book_description a book about it!]]

The Super Carlin Brothers continue to make videos on the theory, adding more and more to it with the post-2013 Pixar films. In 2022, they posted an [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4YqpAeGgNg&pp=ygUZdGhlIGNvbXBsZXRlIHBpeGFyIHRoZW9yeQ%3D%3D updated summary]] of their take on the theory.

While every single Pixar movie has some connections to other ones thanks to the dozens of {{Easter Egg}}s Pixar hides in them referencing their past (and [[ProductionForeshadowing next]]) films, fitting all of these connections together into a proper ''timeline'' [[DependingOnTheWriter requires some interpretation]]. It generally goes like this:

First, ''WesternAnimation/TheGoodDinosaur'' shows us that all species [[GoalOrientedEvolution will develop humanlike intelligence given enough time without humans]], though they will never adapt as well as humans. Then our story actually starts in TheSixties, when [[WesternAnimation/TheIncredibles Syndrome]] creates an ArtificialIntelligence smart enough to turn on him.[[note]]''The Incredibles'' is not always included in this theory, due to superheroes not meshing perfectly into the world and the fact that the Pizza Planet truck doesn't make a cameo like it does in every other Pixar movie. With the release of ''WesternAnimation/{{Lightyear}}'', which is explicitly a movie watched by Andy, this interpretation considers ''The Incredibles'' to be another InUniverse movie like ''Lightyear'' to explain ''Incredibles''-related cameos in other movies.[[/note]] A.I. does not TakeOverTheWorld right away, however, as animals like [[WesternAnimation/{{Ratatouille}} rats]] and [[WesternAnimation/FindingNemo fish]] that live without humans are starting to show their intelligence, which [[WesternAnimation/{{Up}} Charles Muntz]] takes notice of, founding Buy-N-Large.

In ''Franchise/ToyStory'', toys are shown coming to life through the power of [[{{Tulpa}} humans remembering them]] (or, more specifically, beings with WesternAnimation/{{soul}}s); human [[WesternAnimation/InsideOut memories]] being used as a power source is an aspect of the Pixar universe that becomes important from this point forward. Eventually, A.I. takes over Buy-N-Large and, using humans as power, go on to take over the planet, before eventually [[WesternAnimation/WallE taking humans to space and abandoning the planet entirely]]. While humans are off the planet, Franchise/{{cars}} become sentient, modeling themselves after their former owners, before losing their power source and dying off as humans forget about cars... and also Earth in general, turning it into a planet-wide wasteland. At this point, WesternAnimation/WallE's fascination with humans is the only thing left to generate life on Earth, until the events of the movie wherein the humans are brought back.

However, the returning humans need to adapt to what the planet has become, turning into [[WesternAnimation/MonstersInc monsters]]. Since they aren't human anymore, they use time-traveling {{Portal Door}}s to sneak around during the time that humans inhabited the planet to pull a MonsterFacade and scare children. At least, until a certain Boo teaches them that laughter generates more energy. Speaking of Boo, the entire foundation of this theory rests upon the idea that [[CompositeCharacter she grows up to be the mysterious witch]] from ''WesternAnimation/{{Brave}}''. She never forgot about "kitty" and the monster future, and as an adult she discovers the will-of-the-wisps, magic, and the time-traveling portal doors (which are also seen in ''Brave''). The witch has wooden carving of Sulley, as Boo is traveling around time trying to find him. She also has a sculpture of the [[Franchise/ToyStory Pizza Planet truck]], which can be found in the background of ''[[EerilyOutOfPlaceObject every single Pixar movie]]''...

interpretation]].

!!Films of interest
# ''WesternAnimation/{{Soul}}'' and ''WesternAnimation/InsideOut'' - These films emphasize the importance of human souls and human memories, which will be exploited as a power source later down the road.
# ''WesternAnimation/TheGoodDinosaur'', ''WesternAnimation/{{Ratatouille}}'', and ''WesternAnimation/FindingNemo'' - These films make the point
that all species [[GoalOrientedEvolution will develop humanlike intelligence given enough time without humans]], though they will never adapt as well as humans. Then our story actually starts in TheSixties, when [[WesternAnimation/TheIncredibles Syndrome]] creates an ArtificialIntelligence smart humans]].
# ''Franchise/ToyStory'' and ''Franchise/{{Cars}}'' - Toys are also shown coming to life but for a different reason. The power of [[{{Tulpa}} human memory]] is
enough to turn on him.[[note]]''The Incredibles'' is not always included bring them to life when no humans are around. After the human evacuation seen in ''Wall-E'', cars are able to come to life thanks to human memory in much the same way, but only for a generation or two before humans forget about cars.
#''WesternAnimation/WallE'' - The plot of
this movie informs much of the theory's timeline; Buy-N-Large (after having cameos in a bunch of later-released but chronologically-earlier Pixar films) will eventually realize the potential of humans as a power source, TakeOverTheWorld, and use the power of humans to travel outer space for multiple generations, in the process letting Earth rot away without humans.
# ''WesternAnimation/TheIncredibles'' - Perhaps the most controversial inclusion to the
theory, due to as one would expect the existence of superheroes not meshing perfectly into the world and the fact that the Pizza Planet truck doesn't make a cameo like it does to come up in every other Pixar movie. With the release of movies, but it doesn't. Some consider ''Incredibles'' to be an InUniverse movie a la ''WesternAnimation/{{Lightyear}}'', which is explicitly a movie watched by Andy, this interpretation considers ''The Incredibles'' to be another InUniverse movie like ''Lightyear'' to explain ''Incredibles''-related cameos in other movies.[[/note]] while others consider it canon, meaning Syndrome invents A.I. does not TakeOverTheWorld right away, however, as animals like [[WesternAnimation/{{Ratatouille}} rats]] and [[WesternAnimation/FindingNemo fish]] that live without humans are starting in TheSixties.
# ''WesternAnimation/MonstersInc'' - Following humanity's return
to show their intelligence, which [[WesternAnimation/{{Up}} Charles Muntz]] takes notice of, founding Buy-N-Large.

# ''WesternAnimation/{{Brave}}'' - ...and speaking
of Boo, she is probably the entire foundation most recognized aspect of this theory rests upon the idea theory, because it posits that [[CompositeCharacter she grows up to be the mysterious witch]] from ''WesternAnimation/{{Brave}}''. She Merida encounters. Boo never forgot about "kitty" and the monster future, and as an adult she discovers the will-of-the-wisps, magic, and the time-traveling portal doors (which are also seen in ''Brave'').both ''Brave'' and ''Monsters, Inc.'').
