Later on, Monoma ends up mocking the boy for trying to fight the Nomu and that he should've died, it ticked off everyone that was present barely fighting the urge to beat his ass. He gets being threatened by ''Momo of all people'' to stop insulting Midoriya or she'll personally deal with him herself.
** Chapter 26: During the Declaration of War, Bakugou and Monoma talk shit to Midoriya for what he did at the USJ, Momo and Tsuyu jumped to Midoriya's defense and calls them both out for their [[DirtyCoward cowardice]] and [[ItsAllAboutMe self-centered attitude respectively.]] Bakugou once again voices his displeasure for Midoriya and even admits that he wished that the latter died, which almost caused an enraged Momo to slap him.
** Chapter 27: Prior to the Sports Festival, Todoroki declared war on Midoriya, causing Momo and Ochaco to jump to his defense. Sonic later shows up and trades insults to Todoroki, then [[TranquilFury calmly]] states that he would kick his ass if he was in the tournament. ** Chapter 32: When Shinsou ends up brainwashing Izuku and orders him to forfeit the match, Sonic ends up giving a [[DeathGlare ''horrifying glare that he never gave to his enemies nor his rivals.'']] He was even going to enter the ring himself to take care of Shinsou but was stopped by Ryuko before he gets himself eliminated from the tournament.
