The author has acknowledged this, but is opting to keep the timeline the same as when he started due to the story already being heavily invested in said timeline and unable to change without rewriting the story altogether.

* WorldOfSnark: Almost every character has something snarky to say, from Dante and Rias trading barbs to damn near everything out of Raynare's mouth after her HazyFeelTurn. Really, snark and back-sass are among the most prominent forms of humor in the story.

* BigBrotherMentor: Dante has this dynamic with Issei, as the new devil looks up to him and the Son of Sparda gives the kid some good advice from time to time.

** Nevan when she first appears walks around topless and shows herself off to Issei to try and seduce him.
** Male example. Dante has no issue being naked around others and doesn't count male stripping as selling his dignity since he enjoys it.

He never fights any of the ORC, but when Cerberus and the rest of the Devil Arms (in their demon forms) arrive, the demon dog easily wipes the floor with all of them at once, even giving '''Serafall''' a hard time. Keep in mind, this is an enemy Dante easily defeated at eighteen, ''when he was canonically at his weakest''. That gives a good idea of how much stronger he is by comparison. Though it becomes iffy in that regard when Dante clarifies that Cerberus has gotten stronger over the years.

* LeaningOnTheFourthWall: After the crisis with Kokabiel is averted, it looks like [[spoiler:Vergil]] and Dante are about to have another fight. Before it can begin, Gabriel calls [[spoiler:Vergil]] back, and he leaves with Irina and Xenovia in tow. Kiba sums up the readers' thoughts at the AntiClimax in one sentence.

* ChivalrousPervert: Dante doesn't hide the fact that he likes to stare at a hot woman's ass, but he's cool about it and knows his boundaries. Issei, another example of this, actually looks up to Dante as a role model because of this.

* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: Dante comes across to almost everyone as a slacking teenage rebel and is rarely ever taken seriously by anyone. They're always in for a surprise with how well this hides his true power.

* AtrociousAlias: Dante brings up that [[spoiler:Vergil's]] alias, Gilver Bluehide, is pretty lame and uncreative when you break it down. It's just the two syllables of his first name reversed with the last name being the opposite of Dante's last name, Redgrave.

* AbusiveParent: [[spoiler:Kokabiel]] is this towards his daughter, Raynare. The guy's probably in the running for the "worst father of the century" award. He abandoned his daughter when she was barely a child and when they meet for the first time in years, he beats her within an inch of her life. Granted, he did show regret for everything he did and gave his daughter multiple opportunities to walk away, but it's still rather deplorable. [[LampshadeHanging He even acknowledges that he's a terrible father]].

* AffectionateNickname: Dante likes to call Issei "Ise-boyo", with "boyo" being a Welsh variation of 'boy'. Doubles as a MeaningfulName since Issei is the host of the Welsh Dragon, Ddraig.

* NotSoStoic: Despite Bluehide/[[spoiler:Vergil]]'s stoic demeanor, he can have a sarcastic wit to him and his patience can wear thin when the right buttons are pushed. Unfortunately for him, Dante knows how to push all of them.

* HealingFactor: Dante muses that he could make a killing selling his organs on the black market since his healing abilities let them grow back anyway.

Dante's life has always been a weird shit-show. Getting sent to another dimension by a giant fucking dragon after fighting [[VideoGame/DevilMayCry2 Argosax the Chaos]] and being reverted back into a teenager? Well, that's a new one. Of course, in spite of being given a nice opportunity to relive his teenage youth, there's just one universal constant that follows him everywhere he goes: Paying rent sucks.

* JerkWithAHeartOfGold:
** Dante's not really a bad person, but his cockiness, carefree attitude, and general trolling of people he likes to mess with can give others a negative impression. Still, he deeply cares for those around him, drops the attitude when it's clear that it's not appropriate, and feels genuinely awful when he screws up, such as when he unknowingly [[spoiler:married Yasaka]] and up and ditched her without paying much mind.
** Bluehide/[[spoiler:Vergil]], though the "jerk" part is much more prominent. He's overly serious and condescending to others, but he takes his duties as the Paladin seriously, can be civil with others, and is actively fighting to maintain the balance between the factions.
