The story follows Sidney Herver, Edward's fireman, as he documents the ongoings and events happening on the post-nuclear Island of Sodor, witnessing death, violence, mutant creatures, and a conspiracy threatening to bring down the whole railway, all while a terrifying beast has broken loose through the fallout.

On November 24, 2021, Connor would finally come out and announce that he lost motivation on finishing Sodor Fallout. Both due to university and to loss of interest in Thomas as a whole. Though, he would go regain it and create a
[[Franchise/TouhouProject Touhou Project]] X Thomas game in Roblox.

He has the rest of the story set and knows where to take it but doesn't feel motivated to continue. And while he claims to eventually come out to tell everyone how the story was supposed to end, as of the aforementioned date, Sodor Fallout is a DeadFic.

On January 24, 2022, Connor would come out once again and upload the original script of Sodor Fallout on [[https://twitter.com/TidmouthThunder/status/1485405762985906177 Twitter]], finally giving the story a much needed resolution.

* RedHerringTwist: Sir Topham Hatt is painted in a somewhat negative light at the start of the series, with him overseeing the nuclear powerplant. However it’s later revealed he had nothing to do with the explosion and joins the refugee team.
* ReplacementGoldfish: Justified. [[spoiler:The ending of the original script shows the engines introduced in Season 7 are brought over to replace the deceased ones; Spencer replaces Gordon, Emily replaces Percy, Arthur takes Donald's place, etc]].

* ReplicantSnatching: ''That's not Oliver. That's not him. Uh oh.''
* RetCon: Thomas’ original design depicts him in a much more terrifying state, implying he was likely meant to be hostile. Considering that role has been taken by [[spoiler: whatever the hell Oliver is now]], Thomas ended up retaining his sanity despite his mutation and is a member of the refugee team.

* WhatTheHellHero: Toby pulled one of these when he was too scared to shunt the rest of James' train when the powerplant exploded, fleeing off to try and save Henrietta. This led to [[spoiler: James being forced to leave his passengers behind, causing them to most likely die from the heat]].

* ILoveNuclearPower: Many of the engines are heavily mutated following the powerplant erupting earlier in the series. In actuality, [[spoiler:they aren’t mutated by nuclear radiation. It’s later revealed Boomer employed people to inject them with some sort of serum, in order to spite Sir Topham Hatt]].

The series is currently on hold for quite a few reasons. One of them being Connor is currently attending college and doesn't have as much free-time as he used to. Connor has also admitted he’s gotten tired of writing it. Progress may reoccur or halt completely at any given time.
