* CharacterDevelopment: As previously noted, the fraternities and sororities from the movie are given much bigger roles in the fanfic, with each of their personalities and relationships with each other being further expressed and expanded as the story goes on.

* CliffHanger: Chapter 5 of the Fanfiction. * FoolForLove: Terry Perry '''SEVERELY''' avoids this Trope because of the humiliation scene at the ROR Party last Semester, which left him full of angst, bitterness, and more angst, hence resulting in him swearing never to trust girls again.

* AdultFear: Essentially Ms. Lawrence's facial expression when young Laura Sharp pulls a "Mike Wazowski" move to slip into a child's bedroom in the introduction, with references to Mike's little adventure in the prologue of the film as well as the CDA (Child Detection Agency). To put it plainly, it's the monster equivalent of a human kid doing some death-defying stunt like jumping into a shark tank. However, there are some differences between this and the movie, such as young Laura Sharp's father is working on the Scare Floor, Laura uses distraction tactics on the Scare Floor Crew to get to the child's door, "Frightening" Frank [=McCay=] appears again in this Fanfiction by giving Laura the same experience as little Mike, and a slightly more animated consequence when Laura and Frank returned back to the Monster World after the latter has scared the human child.

* ADayInTheLimelight: Chapter 6 focuses on Terri and Terry Perry as they have quite a number of scenes dedicated to them in that particular chapter alone.

* AerithAndBob: We have the usual fairly normal names such as Mike Wazowski, James P. Sullivan, Claire Wheeler, Randall Boggs, Terri and Terry Perry etc. But we also have names like Dean Abigail Hardscrabble, Brandywine, Scott Squibbles, and [[spoiler:Celia Mae]].

* BigBad: Johnny Worthington III from the Roar Omega Roar (ROR) fraternity is shaping up to be one for this Fanfiction. * BreakTheCutie: [[spoiler:Terry received a particularly bad one by a female monster named Merida Malicestorm that controlled a classic high school bully clique. The clique resembled PNK (albeit they were A LOT meaner) and pulled a prank on Terry specifically in a Carrie-like fashion that traumatized him and clearly shattered his perception on romance. This prank also resembled ROR's prank during the movie, which implies that ROR's prank angered him so bad that it re-opened the wound]].

* CurseCutShort: Quite a number of times for Terry Perry of the Perry twins, especially in the second flashback of Chapter 6.

He basically tells her that PNK is a female version of ROR and that he NEVER wants to see her again if he can help it. [{{TearJerker}} She's noticeably upset and breaks down in tears, having to be comforted by Nayda of HSS, Mike and Sulley.]]

* AscendedExtra: Many of the minor characters from the film, most notably the other fraternities and sororities, have much more prominent roles in the story. Showing their individual interests, relationships, and regret over their previous treatment of Oozma Kappa (sans ROR of course).

* TeamMom: Sherry Squibbles - [[spoiler: Carlton]] remains this to the Oozmas and eventually expands to the rest of the school's frats and sororities.
* TeamPet: Archie the Scare Pig, who is the Mascot of the Rival University Fear Tech, is now more or less [[spoiler: Exceeda Zeta Sorority's Team Mascot. (and personal pet of Laura Sharp.)]]

This fanfiction focuses on the author's OC named Laura Sharp, who transfers from the rival university Fear Tech in the wake of the events of WesternAnimation/MonstersUniversity, and finds herself in a whole new world while trying to adapt to life in MU. The Fanfiction focuses on characters of WesternAnimation/MonstersUniversity, as well as shedding new light on the various fraternities and sororities in Monsters University. In addition, it focuses on the relationships between the various Oozma Kappa Fraternity Group members and their love interests, who are also [[OwnCharacter Own Characters.]] There are also expansions on the various characters' relationships with each other, such as Naomi Jackson's interest with Terry Perry, and Randall "Randy" Boggs's life and relationship with Roar Omega Roar after the events of ''University''.
