* BrokenAesop: The chapter "The Summer of Adventure" has the usual message of "don't judge a book by its cover". Flash is paired with a Shuckle for the first activity, and is told how Shuckle is the worst Pokémon in the activity by Timber Spruce. Flash works hard to earn Shuckle's trust by bonding with it and show that there is more to him than just what his Pokédex entry might say. However, this message is ruined since, despite all their efforts, Flash and Shuckle still end up losing to Timber and Politoed, and Celestia punishes Flash for staying up all night training Shuckle without permission, which not only makes his efforts AllForNothing, but counterproductive and turns his friends against him for setting them back. So apparently the real moral to take from this is "don't bother trying to prove a jerk wrong because you will just fail and be punished for your efforts".

You Pokémon Trainer Flash Sentry begins his Pokémon journey across the Equestria Region with his partner Springer. Together they will make new friends, rivals, and enemies on this brand new adventure. It was completed on June 9th, 2019.

A series of fanfics created by Creator/Banshee531, the creator of Fanfic/TheFlashSentryChronicles and Fanfic/YugiohEQG. It is a FusionFic, taking characters from WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyEquestriaGirls, and placing them in the world of Franchise/{{Pokemon}}. The story takes place in the Equestria Region, featuring 150 [[OriginalCharacter original Pokémon native to that region]], as well as several others that have appeared throughout the franchise.

Similar to the [[Anime/{{Pokemon}} Pokémon anime]], several side-stories are released as "movies" that take place between certain chapters in the main series.

Flash Sentry and his friends slowly reach the end of their adventure together. They must do what they were chosen for and protect the Equestria Region against Team Shadow. Also, with the Equestria League slowly approaching, can Flash finally achieve his goal of becoming the Equestrian Champion? It was completed on January 29th, 2022..

** When Sweetie Belle is giving Springer a BearHug, she says "[[WesternAnimation/DespicableMe He's so fluffy I'm gonna die!]]"

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome:
** Flash proved to Twilight and Doc previously that you can't plan for everything, but he himself later learns the importance of making a strategy and planning ahead when he suffers a CurbStompBattle against Thorax. As it turns out, pure faith alone and only ever relying on LeeroyJenkins won't always cut it, with Twilight pointing out some of Flash's other losses as further proof of this.
** Flash stays out all night bonding with the Shuckle he was paired up with and gaining its trust. After the activity is done though, Celestia has his cabin stripped of all but one point, due to him staying out after curfew without permission.
** Flash's depression over [[spoiler:losing to Lightning in the Hoofington Battle Tournament]] was not given a proper resolution by the end of ''Equestrian Adventures'', it was pushed aside temporarily to focus on the last arc. Although Flash gets a big win during this arc, the first chapter of ''Equestrian Champions'' shows that this ''did not'' instantly cure him of his depression. In fact, Flash only seems to have gotten worse and fallen into a HeroicBSOD now, due to [[spoiler:Hopper's departure from his team, despite the moment being previously presented as a BittersweetEnding to the previous story]]. He doesn't start to recover until he starts actually talking about his feelings and anger, and gets [[YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre proper reassurance from Twilight]].
** Suri ends up having her reputation ruined. Not because she lost a Pokémon battle against Coco, but because she tried to attack Coco unprovoked in front of multiple witnesses, with it even being captured on video.
** Before the Gauntlet of Fire competition to determine who will replace Torch as Gym Leader, most of the competitors plan to abuse their authority as Gym Leader to [[BadBoss give themselves an unfair advantage against challengers]] so they will almost never lose. Spike is worried because not only will this be trouble for Flash and any future challengers, but if the League finds out then they could shut the Gym down entirely for abusing its power.

* PokemonSpeak: Duh. Although, starting in ''Equestrian Adventures'' there are a few scenes where what the Pokémon are saying are translated for the reader, allowing entire conversations between them to be shown, usually when there are no humans around.

* AdultFear: Titan and Mercy have their egg containing their child stolen from them while they're sleeping. They both spend months not knowing what has happened to it, while others search everywhere for it and the thieves who stole it. [[spoiler:They are thankfully reunited with their son, Hopper, safe and sound, but only after he had spent months without them and having reached his final evolution, essentially growing up without them. Later when they witness him battle against Ryu's Noivern, Mercy covers her eyes with her wings to keep from watching, not wanting to see her child in pain.]]

* TooMuchAlike: Twilight gets along great with Timber because they are so similar, but she realizes that the two of them are both ''too much'' alike. Spending time with him made her [[AesopAmnesia forget everything she learned traveling with Flash]] and revert to her old way of thinking. So she ultimately decides to stay with Flash instead of go traveling with Timber, because if she stayed with Timber she would never learn anything new.

''[[https://www.fimfiction.net/story/422448/pokemon-the-movie-total-eclixie-the-heart Pokémon the Movie: Total Eclixie of the Heart]]'' is the first "movie" in the series, taking place between "The Evolutionary Block" and "Ghastly Gorge" of ''Pokémon: Harmony and Chaos''. Flash Sentry and his friends must help Sunset Shimmer protect a Legendary Pokémon from an evil force who wishes to use it for their own selfish goals. It was completed on December 15th, 2018.

** Flash can be one at times. Throughout the story he has primarily had ShipTease moments with Twilight, but a few other girls have also shown romantic interest in him. This includes [[spoiler:Sunset Shimmer [[FirstKiss kissing him]] as thanks for helping her at the end of '' Total Eclixie of the Heart'' and flirting with him in her later appearances, and Sonata Dusk telling him she loves him (which he doesn't hear due to the noise from the crowd)]].

** The ending of ''Total Eclixie of the Heart'' has [[spoiler:Sunset Shimmer surprising Flash by quickly planting a kiss on his lips before she leaves the group, stealing his first kiss, much to the shock of him and the rest of the group]].

*** The opening battle between Flash and a trainer in ''Total Eclixie of the Heart'' is similar to the opening battle of ''Anime/PokemonTheFirstMovie'' between Ash and an unnamed trainer.
*** ''Total Eclixie of the Heart'' has several similar plot points to ''Anime/PokemonJirachiWishmaker''. The titular Legendary Pokémon hatches from an egg, the main villain wants to [[PoweredByAForsakenChild use it to power his machines]], and the gang go on a TravelMontage in their quest to return the Legendary Pokémon home.

** When Sunset is being chased in the beginning of ''Total Eclixie of the Heart'', Forest eventually says "[[Film/CaptainAmericaCivilWar Alright, I've run out of patience.]]" before giving the signal for his Stagrowth to attack.

In the technological city Horizon City, a new evil force attempts to unleash an ancient evil from the past, the Legendary Pokémon Centirek. Now, Flash and his friends must join forces with some unlikely allies to save the day.

* CradlingYourKill: A downplayed and non-lethal example with Astro and Trixie's Hatterene . Hatterene defeats Astro by restraining him with her hair so he is unable to defend himself and drains him of his energy via a [[KissOfDeath Draining Kiss to the head]]. Once Astro is knocked out and goes limp though, Hatterene makes sure to gently lay him down on the ground before releasing her hold on him, instead of just letting him plummet to the ground immediately.

* TheDogBitesBack: Gloriosa says that the the Magikarp in Camp Everfree's lake always found itself on the receiving end of mean tricks from the other Pokémon, and that it was only a matter of time before it hit its RageBreakingPoint. This finally ends up happening when Lightning Blitz kicks it away from him when it won't leave him alone. This is the last straw for it, and it evolves into Gyarados, going on a RoaringRampageOfRevenge before it is knocked out by Clauncher.

* ForcefulKiss: The ending of ''Total Eclixie of the Heart'' has [[spoiler:Sunset Shimmer surprising Flash by quickly planting a kiss on his lips before she leaves the group, stealing his first kiss, much to the shock of him and the rest of the group]].

* FifteenMinutesOfFame: This is directly referred to when Flash becomes famous after he [[spoiler:successfully leads the final battle against Team Shadow and Sombra, and defeats Sombra himself]]. Doc notes it could be just a temporary thing, or it could become permanent depending on what Flash does next. Lightning Blitz however stubbornly believes it is only a temporary and once he beats Flash again no one will remember him, but it is pretty clear [[GreenEyedMonster he is just jealous of Flash]].

*** Flash and Springer saving Sonata from being kidnapped by Black and White, and later being attacked by Sirenity due to a misunderstanding, are similar to Ash and Pikachu saving Latias and being attacked by Latios in ''Anime/PokemonHeroes''.

** The train employees the gang meet in "Getting Back On Track" share names with characters from WesternAnimation/ThomasAndFriends
