Taking place before episode 29 of ''Pokémon Journeys'' and at the beginning of Book 3 of ''Infinity Train'', the story tells of Chloe Cerise, an insecure young girl who is the daughter of Professor Cerise in Vermillion City. She is [[DesperatelyLookingForAPurposeInLife is very unsure of her future]] because everyone at her school thinks that she'll easily follow in her father's footsteps but she honestly doesn't even know if she even ''likes'' Pokémon. And after a bad day at school and an even worse afternoon at her father's research lab that leaves her feeling like no one actually cares for her or the fact that she doesn't want a life involving Pokémon, Chloe decides to run away from home. However, before she can form a concrete plan on how to exactly do that and before she can go back to the lab to at least take Yamper with her, she's picked up by a mysterious train and wakes up with a green '151' tattooed on her right hand in something that does ''not'' look like the interior of a train.

While the story is still ongoing, and Chloe hasn't received a lot of focus in the anime,[[labelnote:Explanation]]as of Chapter 17, she only had five focus episodes in Season 1 with Episode 49 leading her to gain more of a focus[[/labelnote]]the author puts a lot of attention to detail that shows just what makes Chloe a reasonable candidate for the Train and expands on the lack of characterization in the anime. It also brings up the relationships between her friends and family and how they are dealing with the fall out of not knowing this girl with the flower scrunchie in her hair.

Arc 1: Nothing and Nowhere began on July 16th, 2020, and finished on December 21st, 2020. A day later on December 22nd, Arc 2: Run Baby Run began with a prelude involving [[VideoGame/PokemonSwordAndShield Hop]] stuck in a fog-filled car before he is to meet with Chloe in a later chapter while a preview of Chapter 14 was uploaded on December 26th, 2020 and the full chapter appeared on December 28th, 2020. Arc 2 ended on March 6th, 2020 and Arc 3: In the Darkness began with a preview of Chapter 28 and the full chapter uploaded on March 7th, 2020.
